BAND-MAID - H-G-K (4-way reaction)

I laughed editing this.

My face when I first heard what Kanami was doing a the beginning of this was pure gold. She never ceases to amaze me. I wish I had Kanami's compositional talents. Composing is not simple. It takes a certain kind of brain and Kanami has that and MORE!

Saki and Miku harmonizing together is just right and then hearing Miku's guitar glisses mixed in with Misa's tasteful yet amazing bass line...gold.

We cannot forget Akane. Dear lord...the INSANE double pedal in the middle section that pummles your ears (in a good way) is to die for. It hits your face, then your ears, and then your heart and pounds deep into the soul.

What is so cool about this reaction was the only 2 recordings that were the same besides losing Saiki and Miku's voice, was the album version and the instrumental version.

The 2024 Day of Maid was slightly different in Akane's drum parts and the Christmas acoustic was beautifully arranged. Just amazing work.

MISA MISA MISA!!!!! MISA MISA MISA!!!!! MISA MISA MISA!!!!! MISA MISA MISA!!!!! HGK is NOT the "Bomb" but the "Guidance Control System" (it steers Bombs) and it is indeed Turkish

Don’t get in the way of the smart Pigeon!!!!

Scrub over sections of your video explaining HGK, excuse me, HECK NO. This was amazing in so many ways. The complexity, and the insanity of it all is - wow!!! I sure couldn’t begin to give a tenth of the explanation and make it interesting. Thank you NittPicc.

Great video NittPicc, loved seeing all the versions together and you were on point (as usual) and very informative to a non-musician like myself :-) Btw, I have the Day of Maid blu ray but haven't had the time to watch it.....yet :-0

The girls just uploaded the HGK rehearsal to BandMaid Prime.

When Mincho was composing this at home, a bumblebee invaded her studio. The HGK is a guidance system for bombs - it guides the bomb to its destination (target). No one know why Miku choose that name, her mind is a mixture of avian and human thoughts. So since bombs fly and birds fly, maybe that's the connection. PO.

Kanami probably a control freak, but in the nicest way. She sweetly expresses where she is trying to go with a piece and the bandmembers love and respect her so much, the don't to let her down. They then strive to improve their own individual excellence.

Great reaction. Love seeing all the different versions as usually. HGK was always one of my favorites from the Christmas acoustic set.

Miku named the song after an actual type of bomb, and then insisted that the song be "explosive" (Nailed that BTW) but was thinking more like a glitter bomb ;) The letters stand for "Hassas Güdüm Kiti" (turkish), which translates to "Precision Guidance Kit"

Let Pigeon eat cake, Po! 🎂🕊️

This song is the bomb! lol. Kanami wrote a song that she literally couldn't play. And she knew it (as she has explained in several interviews). It took months of dedication to be able to record it for Unseen World. I guess in those oppressive times of pandemic everyone brought out their demons in a different way. Over time the girl can play it perfectly live, which is what she is a guitar genius for, you just have to give it time. The three parts of the "flight of the bees" are each different from each other so I suspect that making muscle memory of that was a feat. Several of the songs on UW contain the best bridges in the band's discography, this one in particular is absolutely wonderful. The simple fact that they chose this particular song to do an acoustic version is something out of the charts.
