BAND MAID - After Life (REVISTED, 2024 Day of Maid + Instrumental)
Added 2024-12-15 16:00:10 +0000 UTCI know...I did "After Life" a long time ago, but I didn't have the instrumental album yet in my posession to experience the music at it's fullest potential.
Also, the new "Epic Narratives, Day of Maid 2024" concert has a live performance that I haven't had a chance to check out and this was the perfect opportunity!
Right now, this is my favorite musical composition (that contains lyrics). There are so many cool rhythmic ideas and crossplay between members that I had a lot of fun looking through the score.

2025-01-14 11:48:18 +0000 UTCI understand that you are instrumentally inclined, but this song is one of Saiki's most impressive vocal performances. Firstly, she barely breathes during the verses, and her output is completely consistent. And second, at the beginning of the chorus, Saiki jumps up a full octave, only for three notes, and then falls back down the octave. It is immensely difficult to be singing in one octave range, and then switch up and back down and hit her pitch perfectly. She does it five times...live.
