BAND-MAID - Sayonakidori (REVISTED, Tokyo Garden Theater 2023 + Instrumental)
Added 2024-12-22 16:00:11 +0000 UTCI am a completionist. I must finish what I started and I just realized that Sayonakidori was on the Unseen World instrumental CD. That means I have the score as well which means I can really dive into the msuical genius that is BAND-MAID.
I promise once I am done with this disc, we will move on to other things, but I really want to share this journey with all of you!

I noticed that some of the drum transcriptions were so complicated they almost looked like circuit diagrams. I will say, though, that I don't think "screw this, it's too much work" is actually in Kanami's vocabulary. :-) Not really germane to today's video, but there's a translated interview with MISA in Bass Magazine today on Reddit about her recording process for Epic Narratives that has some very very interesting insights.(https://www.reddit.com/r/BandMaid/comments/1hk090l/translation_interview_with_misa_on_the_november/)

2024-12-22 19:26:32 +0000 UTCEverything about "Sayonakidori" states "This is Miku's song. I think this video also shows that somehow her voice (and guitar playing) have gotten stronger. Kanami wrote the song with the purpose of pushing Miku to strengthen her voice and breathing technique. Being the senses she is, Kanami succeeded.

And if that wasn't enough, there's a guitar "solo" by Kanami that lasts the entire final verse plus a coda. This girl has no limits. Thank you for coming back to Sayonakidori! It is always an exciting experience.
