The oportunity to see the compositional process from Miyako was such a cool experience. I know this is only part 1 of a 3 part series, but the fact that she could create what she did in an hour is crazy fast! Her piano skills seriously helps with her ability to write fast.
I will also say that since she adds string backing to the band sound, I now know why Miyako had a computer close by when I saw them in Dallas. It's super cool knowing that she is in control of the whole process!

My understanding is, Miyako is a certified ProTools Operator, or maybe a Certified Expert. This means she has taken extensive courses and exams to prove her proficiency using ProTools. She is at the top level of ProTool users.

When she started composing the drum parts alone, I don’t know why I thought she would use the keyboard to compose the guitar parts as well. I know you can plug in to record because I’ve done it before, but I guess I was just in awe of the moment.

2025-02-02 18:30:11 +0000 UTCNot sure if you recall, Kanamincho writes the drum parts for Band-Maid too... If you look at their band camp video, Kanami was working on pro-tools on the laptop as well. Side note: To me, Lovebites has yet to fully understand and assimilate the genius of their new bassist Fami. The bass parts that they are putting out are still Miho level, which is outstanding, but Fami is totally on another level and it would be great if they could use that talent to elevate their music further...
