BAND-MAID - Endless Story
Added 2025-02-02 16:00:12 +0000 UTC💮Small note: I am dissatified with my work this week, guys. I feel awful that I cannot re-record to to time constraints, but this cold really messed with my ability to communicate properly. I will be better next week!
This score was hard to get through on a computer. I actually went back after recording to watch the score and conduct it through to see how to follow the signs throughout the piece.
I am starting to hear the orchestra in my head, my friends. It sounds soooo good. I have so much to do, but so little time.
...I want to make an orchestrated version happen. 🥹
P.S. I uploaded the score and the translation of the first page down below so you can have a look at it yourself! I felt going through it virtually was a little confusing, so if you'd like, you can have a crack at it for fun as well!

I would’ve never known about them if someone never showed them to me. …and in all honesty, I never ventured into Japanese rock or music for that matter at all until I started this venture. They just need more visibility in the US. I guarantee a lot of women/girls would love them if more knew.

A lot of their music lends to that symphonic sound…I wonder if I got something started…? The honor it would be for Kanami to edit and manipulate a skeleton I got started…? Imagine?!? 😅 A girl can dream. Lol

2025-02-07 17:59:48 +0000 UTCI honestly think that Kanami composes her music with an orchestral point of view. Someone once asked her if she would like for the band to collaborate with an Orchestra. Her eyes lit up when she shyly answered yes, someday. I'm looking forward to that day. This song along with the prelude to "Sense" proves that she is more than capable of doing that.

We non-musicians can often miss or overlook the creativity and technical skills of these wonderful young female musicians. I honestly wish more young females in this world would discover this group.

2025-02-03 16:19:17 +0000 UTCI always felt like this song was a bird in flight. Now I see it. The measures in the verses (vocals) start low, peak high, and end low, like a bird flapping it's wings, then the chorus soars upward. Then, at the end, there is just pure freedom and joy.

2025-02-03 04:10:36 +0000 UTCI was in junior high and high school bands (marching, jazz, concert, pep, etc), and was a music major in college for 4 semesters. I loved music theory. I changed majors afterwards because I didn't have any desire to teach, and I knew I was not a good enough player to make a living from preforming. So I do have some musical background. I too can hear an orchestral version of this song, and would love for you to begin this project. If you do decide to take it on, take your time, and as the Maids always say "I will do my best", should be your mantra going in.

Take it from a few thousand others of us. It's perfectly okay, don't sweat it. This song always gives me chills and their performance at Yokohama to end their show had me and several thousand other Maidiacs in tears of joy, sobbing out of happiness and pride for these wonderful women we have all come to know and love.

2025-02-02 17:05:36 +0000 UTCI think that symbol is a single note slide in guitar tablature. It indicates that you should play the note on the 2nd fret, then slide your finger up to the 4th fret without picking the string again. At 9:23 in your vid.
