BAND-MAID - Different (return with musical score)

I forgot how much this song come out swinging with that good punch to the eardrums!

It was finally nice to see the parts that I could faintly hear in the background such as Kanami's guitar parts in guitar 3.

I am curious of the other chords in guitar 2, but I assume that is Kanami recording another part to add to the studio recording while Miku takes care of guitar 1 (or maybe 2).

If you look closely at the score and listen hard, you can hear that bass line that Misa is tearing up within a lot of the Kanami guitar 3 parts.

...and of course...Saiki sounds golden as usual.

Ignore the negative idiots

I enjoyed that! From my time in guitar lessons: the "X"es always indicated harmonics as I recall, but I couldn't really make them out because of the speed. They also seemed pretty low, but I'd never second-guess the mind of Mincho. I think that what you thought indicated a rimshot was a simple grace note. I also found it odd that the bass TAB showed only 4 strings.

Enjoy the score study!!

I love this song, but especially Akane's drum parts!

I like the idea of a livestream meet and greet. We all have a lot of fun in the chats waiting for new videos or Ohrenje's creations, so I think it would be a lot of fun!

From what I have heard from others, and read in interviews, Kanami plays all the guitar parts for the studio recordings. Not because Miku couldn't play them, but Kanami is already in the studio recording the lead guitar part. Since Miku is usually busy writing lyrics for the song, it is just to save time. If you listen to a studio recording (Kanami playing), and then listen to a live performance (Miku playing), there is not much of a difference. So Miku is definitely capable of playing her part. I don't know if that is still true, since Miku has become quite a good guitarist in her own right, and Saiki has taken on some of the lyric writing..

sorry you had to read that negativity. But we got your back. We dearly love our sister Princess NittPicc! Don't let the idiots get you down Po! Much love to Jacen and Boston!

I have commented many times in several comment sections "DIFFERENT seems like chaos ... until you realize it is actually a symphony"

No, you won't have any furniture left. Nothing but sawdust.

I think the reason that in interlude parts it seems as if there is a "halftime feel" is because Kanami's lead lines have a delayed Onset, coming in (I think) in between the down and up beat on the drums. Arhyrhmatic again. Almost like Kanami is taking studder steps and is trying to gain her stride.

If I had to play this live, it would be the only song that night

While it is shocking that Kanami can write this, it is much more shocking that they can play this. James Brown May have been the hardest working man in show business, but The Maids are the hardest working ladies in show business.

BTW: Don't pay too much attention to people's comments. There are too many fundamentalist opinions out there these days to ruin your day.

Be careful if you're cleaning to this song, you'll strip the finish off of your furniture.

I don't know if you're familiar with this Young Guitar interview where Kanami and Miku discuss the song. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3NztdOkoYoo Kanami wrote Don't be long so that Miku could practice seventh chords and diminished chrds during the Okyuji sessions before the release of Different. Just like you, she is a true music teacher, I think that is something you both can be very proud of.

Geez, Kanami and her 3-4 minute symphonies!
