2024-05-20 02:18:14 +0000 UTCYou ABSOLUTELY HAVE TO react to the PUZZLE & ANEMONE (back to back) live acoustic performance from their 2018 Zepp Tokyo concert. And should you do so, make sure to include the quite long music box intro to Puzzle because it sets the tone for the two songs to follow.

What Misa does during all the songs of the show is undescribable no wonder why she is my favorite bass player, I've learned some of her basslines and the amount of movements and changes in all of them hurt my brain 😂

2024-04-20 17:56:03 +0000 UTCI was not a huge fan of acoustic music before seeing the streaming of this show, but I bought the streaming package for the full 3 months simply because I wanted to support my favorite band, especially in the middle of Covid. The stream started at 9PM EST Christmas eve. I am a mailman and Christmas is the absolute worst time of year for us. 2 months of misery, lack of sleep and way too much work and stress. I got home 15 minutes before the stream started Christmas eve. I was absolutely blown away by how incredible this was. It was the perfect therapy for an overstressed, overworked mailman. This whole show is massage for the soul. And it started with Smile, a love song to their fans. I highly encourage you to do all 14 songs from this Okyu-ji. And if you have Band Maid Prime, you need to check out the commentary versions of this show (broken into 4 parts), where the members talk over the music about their observations. They are so funny here and you get to see how they interact with each other. There is no doubt that they are truly great friends. They laugh, they make fun of each other and they appreciate each other. In the second section of the commentaries, there is part where they talk about Kanami in a possible past life that is so funny. You need to see these!

The song was composed by an old friend of the band, Kentaro Akutsu, the creator of Thrill, a composer for whom the five girls have equal parts love and respect. You know "It all started with a small dream story", but none of that would have happened without the success of that first song.
