BAND-MAID - Endless Story

This one has been sent to me a couple of times and I was a little hesitant to react to it since it's newer and I haven't even scratched the surface of all the older stuff.

I couldn't help myself though. Honestly waiting to listen to this was giving me some serious FOMO. I also decided to react to this on Patreon because I really wanted to not have to stop and go back. I don't mind doing it for YouTube for the legalities, but sometimes you just don't want to ruin something that you know is going to be great.
Saiki inviting the audience to sing along was so beautiful and created such a sense of love and community. It was hard not to sing along after hearing it the first time. The hidden solos happening under Saiki's singing was something to behold! The care taken to not overshadow each other but be able to hear each individual instrument is truely something here.

I can only imagine what it felt like to be there listening!

MISA MISA MISA!!!!!

When they came to America in October 2023, it was their first time being back in America since Covid. They weren't sure what to expect and was surprised by the reception. They sold out all shows and had to add two more. I saw them in Washington, DC and then closer to home I went to their last show in Chicago before they returned to Japan. So, I'm sure their emotions were pretty high already. When they started this song, they didn't ask us to join, we just did on our own. Akane was brought to tears durinng the song. Another fan capture it. I was standing to the right of this view. Here is a link to the fan's recording he shared on Youtube: https://youtu.be/WOM0-MahpAw?si=2IzqZAMzmKJVedpi

There are 2 other songs that Band-Maid has written for their fans: 1) Memorable (Written during their US tour and they threw Miku into the desert by herself to film the MV.) 2) About Us. ( Written during the covid lockdown to encourage their fans and tell them how much they miss them and to hang on until they meet again after the pandemic ends.)

Just a thought (on the coattails of your position on ethics), you could post the second half to Youtube as a review and/or sprinkle in some of your 'wow' bits as the introduction, if it's not too much work. Could apply this method to any of the content on here, I would think. This is a great video (i've watched it at least 10 times).

Many of us were crying at home watching the streaming. Me too.

Chicago 2022 ... I was there standing just behind Wave Potter and his wife. I won my ticket in a drawing on Ohrenje's DISCORD.

I was at the show (9th row Kanami side) and yes everybody in the audience was crying... Kanami wrote the song especially to be played at Yokohama Arena with the audience joining during the singalong part to make it complete and you just witnessed that's exactly what happened few years later... 😭

Dear NiitPicc, thank you for another really entertaining reaction video. Now that you have heard this song, you might want to check a fancam video of Endless Story from Chicago in 2022. Chicago was the 14th show they did (1 festival and 13 of their own) in the US after a long time off because of Covid. This video is special because we see Akane struggling to not get emotional for almost the entire video. This tour meant so much to them, it was their last show and the song is emotional anyway. Many of us tear up watching Akane getting emotional. It's just beautiful and wonderful. The video is from Edward Hunt. Nittpicc needs a maid outfit...... The start of the song, singing under the moonlit backdrop, somehow reminds me of "An American Tale".

Ok, finally made it here. Minchodiddles galore here. She does it often. She knows each song so well that she can just improv when she wants, and often seems to be accompanying Saiki with what would otherwise be a vocal. The OMV is pretty awesome as well. I have heard ES twice live, and it truly is an emotional communal experience.

oh one more - I think you should continue with the older versions of Ohrenje's documentaries. Obviously the newer ones have way more information and will be way more polished but that impacts on the time it takes to complete. The old versions are still very very good and well worth a watch anyway (and you still get a complete story of the band) That'll do now :)

following up on the Glenns... Kanami in an interview apparently said the song is only complete when the audience joins in. 2 further things: 1. They generally won't block if videos are taken from their channel (they appreciate and watch reactions, they will have seen you!!) and 2. MIght be an idea to do full album reactions (their first 3 perhaps - as very unlikely to play very many of these again - as were still trying to find their sound at that point).... Also ... I'd quite like you to react to some Rush (there's a lot of old Rush fans that have turned onto Band Maid) - "Leave that Thing Alone" from Time Machine tour, seeing that you like Bass! That'll do for now... :)
