Babymetal - BxMxC

This was not what I was expecting, but when I did my first reaction to Babymetal on YouTube, I wasn't expecting that either...so whatever, I guess!

Anyway, I loved this! The theme. The video effects. The style. The hair. THE FLOW. I didn't think this was going to be a rap video. I think I believe that this was the time that one of the members was not a part of the group anymore.

The battle rapping and the choreo was killer to listen to and watch.

What is next in the Babymetal catalogue?

Guess - BxMxC = Baby Metal Combat?

Baby Metal’s library jumps genre consistently . Su Metal’s talent allows them to do every genre of music the writers can think of .

It’s funny you mentioned Rage against the machine since Tom Morello did a collab with Baby Metal for the song Metali .

In case you haven't heard Baby Metal just released a collab with Electric Callboy. The song is called Ratatata https://youtu.be/EDnIEWyVIlE?si=KK82fHzcDvyheEwH

The old baby metal is their heaviest and creepiest while also having their staple “kawaii” metal element while the new baby metal is still metal (maya is a good example) they’ve definitely calmed down a bit. This song is kinda the era in between the old and the new. I suggest you go backwards now to see the contrast.

Welcome to the Foxhole :) There are about 70ish songs (some collabs with other artists as well). The range of experimentation and influences are so vast that they are their own genre. Funny you should mention kids relating to this. When they started this over ten years ago, their songs were topical to things kids could relate to as they were 11 and 13 years old. I would like to send you to Su-Metal's 16th Birthday at the Legend of 1997 show (her birth year) filmed in 2014. The song Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!! is about a 15 year old girl going to her first metal show on her Birthday. It is an AMAZING performance and will introduce you to the original trio Su/Yui/Moa and also the Eastern Kami Band. Thank you for all the great reactions and keep them coming.

The live version is epic too. Suzuka has amazing breath control and I didn't think it would be done so well live. Moa and Momo dancing to this is great to watch! The title stands for Babymetal Cypher, just to clarify, and unless mistaken this song was given to Su-metal to rap and she wrote all the lyrics and constructed the overall rap flow.

I would highly suggest Road of Resistance Live in Japan
