I was so moved by this song that after listening to it, I looked up the chords and started learning it on guitar.
I have only heard the name Steam Powered Giraffe once in my lifetime, and the now the second time has led me here and I am thankful for it.
I honestly need more.
After looking up the chords, I wasn't surprised about how simple the chords were, but the use of C#/D-flat 7 and F#/G-flat 7 really adds color to the simple chord progression.
Anyway...I am a sucker for love and romance, and this hit me in my feels so hard. Lol.

SPG are such a delight. They are unapologetically cheesy, romantic, quirky, silly, and genuine. The lead singer (Isabella Bunny Bennett) and The Spine (David Michael Bennett) are twins, and remain in the ensemble, though Isabella has since transitioned and resembles her true self. Their song "Malfunction" is all about accepting oneself and is done post-transition. They perform live, and the movements are done most of the time.

They mix in comedy routines along with their music in their shows, somewhat similar to Miku’s Omajinai time. Honeybee is one of their best songs in my opinion. The profound effect it had on you was great to watch, excellent analysis by the way. I’m in agreement that musical rythym by itself is a powerful incentive for provoking strong emotions.
