Kids Rock for Kids Global Collab - Hysteria (by Muse)

I only have one sentence for the description for this one because I say all that I need to say in the video:

This is what a music teacher means when they say, "you can do cool things if you just practice."

You ask, you receive - PIece of Mind" by Boston - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z431gmb9oMA The drummer., Yoyoka, a her, she likes to keep her hair short (just like her mom). She started playing drums around 2, her parents are both musicians and when they played she crawled over to the drums and started banging away. She never stopped (mostly self taught). She's now 14 (15 in Oct) and the family moved from Japan to the US about 2 years ago because she wanted to be able to play more (she said that the Japanese culture doesn't really allow children to be different and she felt held back). She's now living in LA and playing almost weekly at the Whisky in Hollywood at "Ultimate Jam Night) with other musicians - no rehearsals. If you want to see her work,. her YT channel has loads of the covers she's done of the years, I'd recommend as a started "Burn" by Deep Purple. She also just finished playing drums on three albums for a Jazz group, the "Ken Okada Group" (Jazz fusion). - there are also videos of her playing with the band - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xZSapCVxMwM she mostly composes her own drum parts. Anyway, that's Yoyoka, added the "DrummerWorrld" "Best 500 drummers in the world" where she was 11.

They are all quite young: Vocals: Vinya Chhabra - age 13 from New Jersey Bass: Ellen Alaverdyan - age 11 from Las Vegas Drums: Yoyoka Soma - age 14 from Japan Guitar: Bay Melnick Virgolino - age 9 from NYC Guitar & Backing Vocals: Charlotte Milstein - age 14 from San Diego Backing Vocals: Ella Milstein - age 16 from San Diego The song was mastered by Ellen's dad, Hovak Alaverdyan I know that at least Vinya, Ellen, and Charlotte all attend the School of Rock. Charlotte and Ella are indeed sisters but I am not sure if Ella goes to school with them. As Yoyoka and her family just moved here in 2022 to help her drumming career I don't think she attends The School of Rock ... or needs to. She already has an impressive musical resume and a US O-1 Visa (Individuals with Extraordinary Ability) and it was granted with written recommendations from people like Ian Paice, Cyndi Lauper, Kenichi Ebina, and Marie Kondo. Unfortunately I can't tell you a lot about Bay ... I mean, he is only 9 :p . It is going to be difficult for me not to gush about Ellen. The bassline in this song is relentless ... RELENTLESS! She has a vid on her channel called Ellen's story and it talks about how she chose the bass herself at a very young age. She has piles of vids of her practicing on her channel ... which she does for several hours every day. Her "signature" is a huge grin when she knows she has nailed a difficult part. Most vids are shot in her practice room which is just jam packed with equipment ... but don't think she is some spoiled brat who had everything bought for her ... equipment companies, instrument makers, can't send her their bits and baubles quickly enough just for a chance that she may use them on camera. Yoyoka's drumming went viral in 2018. She has actually appeared on the Ellen Show twice in the USA. She was also a guest drummer for Cyndi Lauper. I really want to start following Vinya as this was my first exposure to her. I think with the notoriety of Ellen and Yoyoka boosting views in these vids she will become popular quickly. Oh, to be young again :p . No wheat was harmed in the filming of this video ;) .

Just FYI the drummer is a 13 year old Japanese girl named Yoyoka Soma - she has been playing the drums since the age of 3 and posting videos on YouTube since the age of 8 - here is the cutest and most baddest version of Good Times Bad Times by Led Zepplin you will ever see https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=91pz1E8pAOY&ab_channel=YOYOKA%E3%82%88%E3%82%88%E3%81%8B . She recently moved to LA to further her music career and is writing her own compositions like this one Sparkling https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=llB8VzCdGyY&ab_channel=YOYOKA%E3%82%88%E3%82%88%E3%81%8B. Please check her out & maybe do some reactions - you will fall in love with her!
