Somehow I missed that you'd reacted to 2SFH! I think you sum it up perfectly at the end that it's relatively straightforward but with a complex arrangement (which I think is what I personally enjoy the most - Nightwish is pretty similar in a way) - this is what they do really well. Its so funny that most people will say they have no interest in classical music, but love film scores... By the way, the composer of this one, Thomas Bergerson, is the guy playing the piano/synth and also guitar when it went heavy - plus I believe his main instrument is actually violin........ Nick Phoenix the other composer of 2SFH was the guy with the hat and on the auxilliary percussion. Of the 2 I tend to prefer the stuff written by Thomas. They have an absolute ton of material - the difficulty would be deciding what to suggest. I saw this tour in London and was amazing to experience, although I think with the sound being so full and immersive its actually still best to hear studio versions which is not what I usually suggest p.s. my daughter's favourite tune for quite a long time was their piece "flight of the silverbird"

Yes, I kind of saw your reaction coming after the video. 🀭 When it comes to larger than life, epic music, there is probably no better known (and at the same time lesser known) name than TSFH. Even if you haven't heard that name before, I'm sure you've heard one or two of their songs before. 'Heart Of Courage' is probably their most famous song and one of the most used ones for trailers or commercials. There's also a video of it from the same Wacken show on their channel. Before a handful of maids drew me back into the rock genre a few years ago, after I thought it was 'dead', I had several journeys across different musical landscapes. And one of the longest and most interesting ones was definitely the modern classical area, mainly soundtracks, which is how I became aware of TSFH and other projects like 'Audiomachine'. My playlist back then, which was filled with songs of this kind, was my own personal soundtrack to life at that time. And even today, I still like to listen to a few of these songs, as they are timeless, emotional and not least, can also be motivating. Nothing to do with TSFH or wind instruments in particular, but if you enjoy the combination of classical music with modern electronic instruments, I can only recommend the name Hiroyuki Sawano. Perhaps the most famous name for anime soundtracks. And to be precise, his 19-minute spectacle of his 'Attack On Titan Suite' which you can find on his YT channel. :)

This is TRAGIC information...UGH! Surely compose seperately though, right?

Unfortunatelly both composers no longer works together, and i missed the opportunity to see them live at Prague.

Their moto was: music makes you brave, and their most known songs are epic battle theme like Archangel, Protectors of earth or my favourite Together we stand, divided we fall. This one is speciall in their discography for wind instruments taking lead.
