Both of these songs were and are extremely moving. They are so heartfelt and beautiful!
"About Us" took me out. The lyrics, the video, the instruments used and how they were used...the vocals. The chills I got and the tears I had for this song...I didn't want to cry on Patreon, but here we are.
Memorable was the cherry on top. Again, the lyrics tell a story of a band of maids who love their fans dearly and wanted to use their talents to show them that they are forever grateful.
This is what music is truely all about.

2024-06-25 23:25:52 +0000 UTCThese songs, touched me emotionally, but in different ways. ‘About Us’ when it was released took me aback on how different it was from what I had heard previously. But in looking at the lyrics I was so impressed that a group would take time to write a song to their fans when they (the band) were going through the same scary thing. Side note: Kanami had a really hard time, during Covid, being away from her band mates and wasn’t eating well (from comments I read). Memorable impressed me with Band-Maid’s appreciation of their fans (Master and princesses) welcoming them on their US (sold out) tour. And, the fans letting them know - they were loved (for their music, and for themselves) which I think kinda blew them away. Thank you for staying strong through your reaction. It hits us all.

This song is so special because I'm one of the ones who they were singing about. Along with 20,000 of my closest friends. Have you ever had someone write and sing you a love song? If you saw them play in 2022, you have. Who does this? Only one band that I know of. They will always be in my heart and soul, po.

2024-06-18 01:05:54 +0000 UTCI said it in the comments under their live version of Endless Story for their tenth anniversary on their chanel, but if the maids call their concert "serving", I think they give us as much as we give back to them. Their concerts are encounters, exchanges between them and us, it is a communion where our mutual love is shared and this is also why many people love this group. These two songs are once again an example, Miku having written "about us" while "memorable" is written together by Miku and Saiki, which for me gives a double meaning and even more force when Saiki sings "I can't express it with words" and which Miku follows with "this time", as if both had difficulty finding the words to express their feelings to us. Even if it is true that "this time" can be related to "we don't surrender", I prefer to interpret it as said above.
