Yoasobi - Idol (Live)

I took way too long to get to this video! It was so worth finally getting to hear this group.

The singing and rapping ability is great! I honestly was so caught up in the keyboardist's ability to really tickle the ivorys though!

There are some really cool musical things going on as well. I hope you all enjoy this one as much as I did. I tried so hard to sit still, but I just couldn't!

If you want to check out some more J-Pop with crazy live performances and stage sets, I would recommend Zutomayo (short for ずっと真夜中でいいのに。or Zutto Mayonaka de Iinoni.). I am personally not a huge fan of J-Pop or pop in general, including for this track (although I couldn't help myself moving along with the chorus with how much I have heard it), but I do really like Zutomayo's live performances with how much is going on and tend to enjoy a lot of their tracks in general to be fair. I think musicians in general will enjoy them just with how much different sounds there are in their music. Also, for an other Japanese band with Rap/Hip-Hop influences, you can check out Kroi (which literally comes from kuroi which means black, as an adjective, in Japanese) since they combine a lot of different styles of "black" music eg. Funk, R&B, Rap, Soul and who knows what else. They are not necessarily my favourite to listen to constantly as I am not the biggest fan of the main vocalists headvoice personally, but they are really talented and I think you might like them if you don't mind that type of music. I do like their more funky tracks though, they are right up my alley.

Nice reaction. This is the opening song for season 1 of the anime "Oshi no Ko" and the ending of the song sounding incomplete, at least for me, is that the anime leaves you hanging with a dark mystery in the first season. This anime was the best in 2023. For the audiences, in Japan, it seems there is a very strict etiquette; at live concerts, when the singer is singing, stay silent. Also those lighty things everyone is waving around, are called "glow sticks" and are normal at J-Pop/Idol shows. Here you can see the difference between "Idol" shows, which are huge in Japan, and rock shows. "Idol" is the theme song to the "Oshi no Ko" TV anime, currently streaming on HIDIVE (it's pretty cheap - $6.00/month or $48.00/yearly
