The Fix - Rush (더 픽스)

I am starting to really enjoy K-Rock. There is something about it that makes for such a good fun listen, but just cutesy enough to dip a friend's toe into different languages and styles.

I hihly reccoment this one. It was a fun listen and I cannot wait for more!

NittPicc, this was nice. I enjoyed the energy and the transition between the keys you described. In fact I looked it up and downloaded that song - Rush. So, thank you for introducing me to a new group and for the ‘conversation’ (reference movie - The Last Samurai). 😏

This is the third of the 4 bands that appeared in the 2023 show put together by Rolling Quartz - Badass Unnies. Of the bands that appeared (BandUNI, The Fix, Walking After U, and Rolling Quartz themselves) I would say ... while this is definitely K-Rock it is probably the most "K-poppy" of the bunch. This band also participated in the show (the same band competition that brought you KARDI (카디) ) Superband 2 and took 4th place in the 2022 season. Before you say "well, that's not "great"" consider all the K-pop acts and the popularity of that genre in Korea. Quite an accomplishment for a K-Rock band. The story here, at least for me, is the vocalist Leenzy (along with Jeong Nayoung (gt and maknae), Hwang Hyunjo (ba), Eun AhKyung (dr) ). She is the band leader ... and actually a powerful front woman. I wish they would feature the musicians in this band a little more prominently in the composition ... but if you see any of their live performances it makes a little more sense ... Leenzy dominates with her vocals. For the most part, this very young band still does a lot of covers. Even at that there is not anything really "ballady" in their catalog that I am familiar with. If you'd like another sample You can listen to Rose 'NANA' OST ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RwrBDP1MZks

Saw the thumbnail and thought you either misspelled the Fixx or were doing a Rush song I never heard before. I listen to k-pop most days on the speakers I have set up in the beer and wine section and customers always want to know what I'm listening to. Sometimes it's Band-Maid or Carlos Santana. This was pretty good.
