I hope your weekend is off to a good start.
I am having a very busy weekend. This is why this post is coming later than expected. I love marching season, but man does it take a toll on my time!
Anyway, here's the line up!
BAND-MAID Sunday:
"Shambles" - I am changing it up this week and covering some of BAND-MAID's newer material. This song is off of their Epic Naratives album that is coming out soon. I am excited to jump into this since I've been going down a path of their older songs, which I will return to again by the way. I'm looking forward to it!

Tokyo Jihen & ADO - "Crime and Punishment"
I saw this in my discord and I KNEW I had to check this out. I love Tokyo Jihen. I love ADO. It's like I was mean to do this reaction! I cannot wait to hear Tokyo Jihen and then ADO's cover! Thanks Lord Vorador!
Show-Ya - "私は嵐 "(Watashi Wa Arashi)
I saw this one in my discord and was more fascinated by the fact that the video looked like it was recorded in the 80's. I knew I had to dive in. Plus, there is a pretty lady on the thumbnail with that iconic 80's hair. How could I resist?
BAND-MAID - "GIOVANNI"
I have heard almost everyone tell me that I have to check out "GIOVANNI." When I was in my baby BAND-MAID fan phase, I remember being confused about the name of the song. I have a close friend named "Giovanni," so I thought while scanning the comments I was seeing people ask about my friend. Anywho...I am excited to dive right in!
I will try to be more prompt with these posts. Only 2 more months of marching band and All-Region music preparation for my flute students and I will have more free time!

I thought about you and Shambles when I saw the set list from the Yokohama "Hall Tour" show on July 14 - if you had been there, you would have already been familiar with every song played except for Shambles and Brightest Star. I think this means you're no longer a Band-Maid baby, but maybe a Band-Maid 5th grader!

2024-09-21 17:13:53 +0000 UTCJust a quick heads up, that version of Crime & Punishment isn't Tokyo Jihen (going off the thumbnail), it's Shiina Ringo's solo work with a different band. Moreso it's a version done 15yrs after she first released it, in a rather different arrangement, the Ado comparison will only make sense fully if you also checked out the original MV, as her version is much closer to how Shiina originally performed it.

Been waiting for it and wasn't sure if Princess Nittpicc would ever do it. Wonder if we'll get a comparison with the white room instrumental and the Band-Maiko versions... Btw, there's an important link between Band-Maid and Tokyo Jihen. Hint: Watch The documentary on Miku.
