Hola Familia!

It's been a crazy week. I had an AWSEOME time at a Faun concert in Dallas with the Pentagenarian this last Saturday which was a highlight of the whole week. Things slowly unravel from here... I helped a friend who was in a minor car accident. No worries! They are okay. Then I noticed something has been wrong with Jacen (my cat) for a few days now. After taking him to the vet, it turns out that he's diabetic. I feel bad for him because he doesn't really know what's going on. He's doing well right now. He's got meds and everything. Big adjustments for my little "Gooby."

• The journey continues with "Moratorium." Again...I am ashamed. It's been a year since I've heard this song. I don't know how this album flew under my radar like this. I am ready to revisit. I remember that I was overjoyed by Miku and Kanami's genius here as well as the band's skills to make the art happen. I cannot wait!

• Eric Johnson - "Cliffs of Dover"

  • I have been given an assignment (sort of) of checking out American guitar greats since my knowledge of them is sparse... Today it's Eric Johnson. Apparently he's not as well known as the others I've listened to lately. He's got a different style, similiar to Malmstein, but more musical? I'm excited!

• Nemophila - "Zen"

  • I've reacted to "Life" recently and absolutely thought it was beautiful! I was told that this one is the POLAR opposite so let's check it out, shall we?!

• BAND-MAID, PRIME - "Moratorium" Live in Los Angeles with Miku & Akane self-covers

  • As I work through the "Just Bring It" album fully, I feel like it's only right to dive deeper. I need to learn this album. I need to study it. I haven't seen a live version, and I want to check out the self-covers since I have access to them!

  • Season 1 was great and we are working on the next competition with more drama coming in! I'm so excited for this!

  • We just finished episode 9! We only have a few episodes to go!

  • I just started this and it's pretty freakin' killer! There's something about hiding their epicness that makes this so much fun!
