There is another video available of this performance but from a closer camera, which shows you a few things you canβt really see in this video. Firstly, itβs far easier to see the emotion she is singing with & all that technical stuff like a relaxed jaw & mouth shapes etc etc. Bit the thing that I found really amazing ( freaky!!) is that we all know this is one of the hardest songs to sing well, for any vocalist but if you watch Sohyang at the start of the second verse, she walks forward whilst pointing at the audience & sheβs smiling!!!! Who the hell finds this song so easy that they can be smiling whilst singing it? This one think shows just how relaxed she was singing it, it wasnβt a difficult task for her.

The rest is history. Also, this is the performance that Oprah's manager saw, showed to Oprah who supposedly immediately contacted David Foster, sending him on a journey to find her and convince her to perform with him at Tokyo's famous Blue Note Jazz club for 8 shows(can be found on yt). I'm going to post an original of hers suggestion in discord patreon suggestion thread. Ps- "it's about that time"...sorry, not sorry π
