I'm not going to lie: When I started the score section, I was IMMEDIATELY lost due to the speed of the song. I had to catch up visually in the score.
After watching the live version, I was able to see more of what Kanami and Miku split via guitar parts, but MAN...can we get Saiki a drink after that performance? She was absolutely killing it vocally on this one!
P.S. I went to the gym after this and was given extra strength after watching the live performance. Hah!

I'm not a musician but I have heard other musicians mention they hear a "pinch harmonic". Maybe (PH)?

2025-04-08 09:29:10 +0000 UTCSaiki’s really been improving, even since TGT. We saw an even more powerful and confident Saiki at YokoAri. I don’t know if you ever got to see the leaked fancam from the joint Band-Maid/The Warning performance of Show Them. (Don’t react to it.) Saiki goes for a really huge note there and biffs it. But if I know the Maids, she’s working on it, and she may yet surprise us all again.

I can listen to it on a loop and just focus on different aspects of the song and hear something new and interesting every time, so thank you for this reaction. If you haven't seen it you should check out this song in the 2017 Shinkaba Studio Coast show. It's the closer and has so much frenetic energy with lasers, pyro, the girls going absolutely nuts and the crowd whipped into a frenzy. It's absolutely peak Band-Maid. N you don't have to do a reaction to it again but if you haven't seen it it is a must see, that whole concert is amazing. If anybody watches it they would come out thinking, "well they're the biggest band on the planet, right?".

2025-02-24 01:43:06 +0000 UTCNittPicc, I don't know if you know the story behind the making of this music video. It was filmed on a wind-swept beach in Japan in the middle of winter. It was brutally. Cold, but the Maids wore their thin maid costumes for the shots. There are photos of them huddling in full-length coats between shots. The flares used for the night shots provided some heat but Kanami and Akane got singed. These Maids are troopers. They were willing to bear any burden and suffering to get their music out to their fans and the public.

This is something i realized last year, especially with the new songs (well, she has always been good to me, i just noticed her voice, changing over the years has gained more dept and power, maturity i'd say).

I liked Saiki from the start, I fell in love with her after hearing Influencer oddly enough. She has only gotten better as a singer. The live version shows off so much of their talent and tightness as a group. If given a choice to choose 1 band as the last show I would ever be able to see live, it would be Band Maid. Side note, you have to check out the video they dropped for Shambles live.

2025-02-23 20:58:15 +0000 UTCThis song is one of my favorites of Band Maid. But....the first time I listen to this was in the Zepp 2018 concert and I love it. Later I listen to the studio version and I was.. "where's Miku?". She is so low in the studio mix that is like she's not even there. I don't know why. The live version works much better for me.
