I feel like this one has been hidden from me and HOW DARE I BARELY HEAR THIS TRACK JUST NOW!
That sick jazz section in the middle took me for a real ride and I cannot and will not ever get over it!
This is a favorite. 100%.
You really enhanced my appreciation for this song

I've been calling for a Jazz-Maid album for a while now. Smoky bluesy jazz? Sick jazz fusion jams? Saiki taking a turn as a jazz diva with that gorgeous vocal fry she has? I'm here for it.
They could stand to use rock organ slightly more, too. Especially on a big heavy song where it just adds that much more heft to their wall of sound. Or what if one of these days they stopped flirting with the idea and just put a whole horn section in a song? They'd have to use a backing track to play it live, but so what?
A lot of fans say that they're their own genre, and I disagree; just because they mix genres and play in different styles doesn't mean they've invented something novel. But what's interesting to me is no matter what style they play in, they're still recognizable - their own voice is so strong that it colors everything they make, in a sense making every style theirs.

That jazz section reminds me of Charlie Brown... Don't ask why. Lol

Misa and Akane have a heavy jazz/funk leaning in their style. Thats one of the reasons why Manners hooked me on Band Maid.

Also, this would sound even more killer if they redid this with a horn section 🎺

I get a bit of an Aerosmith vibe with this song. Just crunchier. Thoughts?

That interlude reminds me of The Harry Connick Trio. Maybe someday we get a full jazz album? https://youtu.be/kMAkyA_EcRo?si=C-DE-F3lzg2GVq5j

This was their first foray with the mini-jazz interlude. They have revisited it a few times since, most recently Forbidden Tale.

NittPicc, I'm with you about Akane and MISA doing a bluesy/jazz album together.

It's not just you, this is a really good song. Do they have any bad ones? Haven't found one yet Po.

One of the cool things I love about Band-Maid is there is no predictability with their songs, with the exception they are always good!

They're all favorites, just some more than others. What's cool is that they wear their development and experimentation on their sleeves - as well as having fun with it.

If you are in the minority on this song, I'm in it with you. I think this is a great song. It is just such an interesting song to listen to. So many styles showcased in one song. Even though this was not written by them, I can tell the band arranged it.
