Bocchi the Rock, Ep. 12 - Morning Light Falls on You

I am sad that I am done with season 1. We will just have to wait until the new season is released!

What should be put in Bocchi's place? Any anime is accepted!

If you like this type of anime, I can recommend you another "music" anime. You can watch and react on K-On! It's only have 2 seasons with couple of movies but you will enjoying it

The Replays Band is an ongoing promotional covers project that act as advertising for Gibson/Epiphone (Japan). NittPicc might recognise singer/rhythm guitarist Asaka from TRiDENT and lead guitarist Kaho from Faulieu. The bassist is chloe from AIMI VADER who I don't believe she's seen yet. The drummer Moe Hirakawa is a session/support drummer who also did the motion capture for Nijika's drumming performances in Bocchi. https://youtu.be/3nonXwpbyEY?si=pGFvC_SpxHd2WU7M

In terms of anime to replace Bocchi in the reaction rotation, whilst waiting for season 2 to come out, I'm gonna reiterate my main suggestion from the comments I made on the Sound! Euphonium episode 4 video; which sticks within music themed shows. I would suggest 'Girls Band Cry' which I've actually been mentioning since your Kessoku Band reactions; it's available on Crunchyroll and so far only a single 12 episode cour has been released. All the band members in the main group from the show are first time VAs that were chosen as the result of a one & a half year long audition process to find young talent that could both act and perform equally, they play live shows as the band and released material before it even aired. The art style is CG based, but it is the better end of that spectrum to the point where I got past the uncanny valley aspect within the first episode. It has a similar setting to Bocchi (though the creators made a point of the musicians not being high-schoolers) and some really well done musical setpieces. It's not really fair to compare the two directly, as GBC is more of a drama with occasional comedic elements. But I will say that both GBC and Bocchi are series where I got to the end and immediately wanted to restart from the beginning in part to see what extra details I missed the first time round.

There is a interesting cover of "If I Could Be A Constellation" with 4 J-Rock artists sponsored by Gibson/Epiphone.

Princess NittPicc, thank you for taking on this sweet journey with Bocchi the Rock. I can't wait for season 2.

The anime where Band-Maid is intregral part of the production doing the music and the motion capture of the characters is named "Rock Is a Lady's Modesty". In the first episode the music was insane thanks to Kanami and Akane. Sadly the show is in Hivedive and not in Crunchyroll. About the music in the last episode of Bocchi: First song, "I Will Never Forget!" - composed by Daichi Yoshioka. Second song, "To Become a Constellation..." - composed by Hidemasa Naito. Last ending. Song named "Rockn' Roll, Morning Light Falls on You" the only cover of the show. A song of the band "Asian Kung fu generation". Sung by Aoyama Yoshino, voice actress of Bocchi. The main characters name of this show are based of the members of Asian Kung Fu Generation, Masafumi Gotō, Kensuke Kita, Takahiro Yamada and Kiyoshi Ijichi. Bocchi the Rock was a amazing surprise to everybody. With charismatic characters, amazing music and a super creative production it became super popular . The manga got sold out very fast and the voice actresses became super stars. It so popular than the music album was the most sold in Japan for weeks. The recopilation movies sold out in cinemas. Madness. The fandom wants more. About other recomendations to new anime, I repeat that "Frieren: beyond journeys end" is a safe bet because it have it all, fantasy, drama, comedy, adventure and action. Great story, great characters and an amazing music ....with lots of flute...HA HA. And the director is Keiichirō Saitō, the same of Bocchi. His work in both show is phenomenal. It elevates Bocchi to world phenomenon. If you want another music anime I recommend "Kids on the slope" more a jazz show or "Carol and Tuesday" a pop one.

Thanks for the final episode. I really wanted this to continue and was surprised when the 2nd season was announced. As for a replacement - what about the new "Rock Is a Lady’s Modesty" with Band-Maid providing the opening song (Ready to Rock) and the members (except Miku) provid the motion capture for the music scenes. The anime is on "HIDIVE", a second tier anime streaming site (recommend if you do decide to do this one to only use a browser and not a phone app), They have a 7 day free trial or a 5.99/mo or a 1 year subscription for $59.99. If you decide to do this, send me a DM and I'll pay for a one year subscription. There is one episode available now and the 2nd episode dropping tomorrow. Here's the trailer and the OP song https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oO-foFtYnuw

If you want to keep with the music side of things you can go with "K-ON" for a bit pop. If you want a little more drama try "BECK" or it's other name "Mongolian chop squad" But if you want J-POP mixed with Zombies? Go with Zombie Land Saga!". You can't go wrong with any of these. Now if you would like to go with a great Anime with great back ground music and story try " Apotacarie Diaries". I hope you enjoy anything you pick.

The director of this season make it with the mind of just one season, but the fans response to the season and the expectations of another one, plus a lot of the staff that work in the fist season want it to continue so they decided to do another season. Hope my English is not too weird.
