I didn't remember Dizzy Sunfist being this punky sounding. I am glad I was brought back to this group. The English lyrics were a surprise for me. The context hits hard. The costuming was great!
...but I am afraid they aren't active anymore. Please tell me they are.

2025-04-20 17:04:03 +0000 UTCI'll cut to the chase ... Dizzy is VERY active ... however ... the chances of you seeing them in the USA is probably zero. The cycle of life ... from swimmers to early childhood ... teens, college days, to mid-life to old age ... this has it all ;) . I thought the recorder moment would take you back :p . Does everyone learn to play those things in school??? Dizzy is very reminiscent of the whole pop/punk era and the Offspring are a great band. If you have not heard Bowling for Soup's song Getting Old Sucks (but everybody's doing it) I HIGHLY recommend giving it a listen ... it is hilarious and relatable. BTW I have a tie for favorite Offspring song between Pretty Fly for a White Guy and Why Don't you get a Job ;) . The bassist here is Iyama and I still miss her. I believe she left the music industry after covid :( . Now its time to go watch MEIKO.

2025-04-20 16:16:31 +0000 UTCDizzy Sunfist are still most definitely active, the group started with demos in 2009, but only really turned into a band when drummer moAi joined in 2012. This video features their original founding member bassist Iyama, who left the band in 2021. The heavier end of pop-punk is their primary sound. Their current bassist Meiko Yamaguchi joined in 2022 after nearly a year & the better part of 100 gigs as their touring support member (they had a tour cycle titled 'Welcome for Meiko' when she became permanent) and Meiko is the former Fern Planet bassist who you've reacted to separately today off the back of our conversations on Discord. Since 2018 the main vocalist/guitarist Ayapeta has been married to UVERworld guitarist Akira and they have a five year old daughter.
