Late post again this week! I chose to clean out the cobwebs in my brain and bones by going to the gym before I made this post. It's my safe space away from everything and I love doing my best to take care of myself. I REALLY needed it this morning.

  • The title "Decided by Myself" feels like a song that I need this week. With all the changes happening around me in my work life, it makes me think of future decisions I might have to make. The Maids show up when I need them, I suppose. How lovely!

• Stan Rogers & Unleash the Archers - Northwest Passage

  • DOUBLE REACTION TIME! I was informed by Hebes that Stan Rogers was a Canadian folk singer and his song Northwest Passage is a beautiful song that showcases the beauty of a capella. Unleash the Archers did a cover years later with the music video exploring alternate paths in their lives if things were just a bit different. I love a capella singing and I really love Unleash The Archers sound, so...LET'S GO!

• DIR EN GREY - Lotus

  • I have been waiting for another suggestion for this band. I try my best to not do too much self-exploration so I don't ruin too much for me and honestly after starting reactions, I feel like I don't have time to hear everything all the time. Needless to say, I am excited! After reading what BigEarJimLynch sent me, I can see that he had to really dig deep to figure out what song to send me and after reading each type of song exists of DIR EN GREY, I am now more curious.  

• BAND-MAID - "The Roots of BAND-MAID; Miku's hometown Kunamoto"

  • I see your comments, and this is becoming increasingly FUN! Next is the video from Ice Bear's channel (thank you Ice Bear!) of the Maids visiting Miku's hometown. I am excited to watch this this evening! It's raining that perfect amount to feel cozy and gloomy weather makes me feel calm. I am sure the Maids will make me lose my cool though. They honestly make me feel like my little heart is going to explode with "kawaii" energy!

ANIME Reactions:

• Sound! Euphonium, Season 2, Ep. 11

  • Not my favorite episode of the series, but ya know...that's how it goes sometimes, right? Reina is young, so I can understand her heart, but she's a kid. I am just going to say that her prefrontal cortex is not fully formed.

• Rock is a Lady's Modesty, Ep. 11

  • Lilisa and I share mutual feelings in this episode. Have you ever had someone call an activity that is your everything a "hobby." People don't mean to hurt my feelings when they say that my job "isn't a real job," or that it's just a "hobby." Sometimes you just have to smile and brush it off. Lilisa goes to shred. I love that for her!

• K-ON!, Season 1, Ep. 6

  • 3 words: Great concert. Pantsu...

It's rainy outside and I love the cozy vibes I get from the gloomy weather. I do hope your Labor Day weekend has clear skies so you can have a gathering or take a nice walk though. I cannot wait for fall weather! I just want it to cool off a bit.
