Rock Is A Lady's Modesty, S.1, Ep.12 - Lady Ver: "I will bow out of playing"/Rock Ver: "We'll Prove We're The Best!"

Bacchus really stuck the knife in Lilisa's heart, didn't they?

...also, it's really exciting to see Alice helping her sister in this episode. Good for her and her sharp words to Bacchus' "manager."

I am sad that the women there to see Bacchus is already trashing Lilisa and the girls all because they are women. What happened to women supporting women?! I'm so worried about their battle!!!

Others have already explain who Bacchus is and might've heard the term bacchanalian before used to describe uninhibited or drunken revelry. But what you might not know is that Bacchus is also a Japanese guitar & bass luthier brand that make Fami from Lovebites' signature headless five string bass model.

Bacchus' origins might partly be tongue in cheek references to the South Korean girl band QWER; they were originally formed through a YT project by producer Egg Kim, with 'Bocchi the Rock' being one of his inspirations behind the concept. Prior to starting the band drummer Chodan and bassist Magenta were active streamers on Twitch, lead guitar/keys player Hina was a popular content creator and cosplayer on TikTok, and rhythm guitar/main vocalist Siyeon is a former member of the Japanese idol group NMB48. They've faced unfair criticism as 'fake idols' for not being poppy enough for K-Pop fans and too poppy for rock fans; as well as beginning with an existing fanbase from their prior careers & corporate support (1.25m followers on YT despite their debut only being released in Oct '23). But unlike Bacchus they seem far more motivated by getting better at their instruments (believe at least Chodan & Hina already played) and are gradually getting more involved in writing their own music. They're actually turning into a decent pop-rock band with their own identifiable sound and the hope is they might help inspire a new wave of bands/musicians in the very k-pop dominated South Korea, similar to how Scandal & K-On inspired a bunch in Japan in the early 00s. Another fun thing was on their last visit to Japan they visited the Girls Band Cry exhibition and hung out with the three fully active members of Togenashi Togeari, filming a bunch of cute shorts for socials. My knowledge of QWER is pretty limited overall compared to their dedicated fans, but I'll pop one of their most successful singles into the Discord in case you fancy checking them out.
