Added 2025-03-28 15:34:23 +0000 UTCI received a copyright complaint for 3 chapters of my Hephaestus fanfic from Yan press. I'm going to stop publishing this fanfic because I'm afraid my patreon will be deleted.

I still make it clear that it's a donation, and I never follow the original story, I create something completely new. They only gave copyright for the use of the characters' names. That's bullshit. Fuck.

2025-03-28 16:08:32 +0000 UTCIm pretty sure fanfics cannot be legally copyrighted unless liscenced from the original source owners so the creators of danmachi but yan press is probably using a dumb ai to find things and since you are technically making money off of fanfics they have legal grounds but that is technically true for all fan products

2025-03-28 16:01:13 +0000 UTCI don't know exactly. They made a copyright claim exactly in chapters 63, 64 and 67. I don't know if there's anything different from usual in those chapters. Maybe they're giving claims in random chapters to give too many claims at the same time and bring down my patreon, which is why I'm deleting the hephaestus fanfic chapters.
