Well, you were absolutely correct. :)

Deb opening her eyes and Nathan backsliding (as you can see Nathan has a long way to go, so no changing overnight) was what I thought you'd like :)

I couldn't agree more with basically everything you said about Brooke. This was definitely the episode I needed for that character. I was SO impressed with the amount of thought and the level of effort she put into that date (and just trying to make that situation right in general). I was already starting to really like her b/c of that, but seeing her so terrified and worried about Peyton just about broke my heart. I've definitely wondered why Brooke and Peyton were friends (or if Peyton actually really liked Brooke), but this episode put all that to rest. Yeah, Nathan's reaction/response to Tim at the restaurant was clearly just pure awkwardness and not having a clue how to handle that situation. Which is true to the character at the time. His only real experience with dating was Peyton and that definitely wasn't the same situation AT ALL. I like your thought of him going into protective mode. Now that you've brought it up here, I do actually really like how they handled the gifts. It makes sense that Haley would get him socks because so much about that whole activity and their situation would likely be really uncomfortable for her and socks are a safe option. But, he's a little more daring so he didn't go with something basic. But, he also knew there was no way she would be okay with something sexy. They're really were great representations of those characters.

HAHA, fair point about Mouth. It just seems extra weird that he announces when they're just playing ball at the park. lol I am definitely like you in that I'm a sucker for a good ship, even if it's a friendship one. Sometimes especially the friendship ones, and DEFINITELY if it's a friendship between two females. So, I'm absolutely loving this whole Deb/Karen thing. I wasn't too crazy about episode 10 to be honest... until I got to the end of the stories. Deb kicking Dan out and Nathan leaving the hospital to go be with Haley... UGH! SOOOO GOOOOD! I also really liked how they did the final scene with Lucas, Peyton, and Brooke (I mention that in the reaction). I like love triangle scenarios as long as they don't pit the females against each other and make them turn on each other; which it seems is almost always the case. So, we'll see how this one goes.

incredible episode, incredible reaction. i have always had a soft spot for brooke but this is the episode that really first sealed that deal for me. you can see she really is a very intelligent and mature person underneath all the act she puts on. the way she handled the peyton situation showed that, but so did her whole date/set-up for nathan and haley. i love the little touches of "on the way say three things you like about the other" and "order your favorite food, for the other person" it shows that even though she seems very flighty, she actually has a very good understanding about connecting with another person and probably really wants that too at heart. i love that she put so much thought into making it right between nathan and haley. and the ending touch of her sitting down and being so sweet to mouth, who is probably not used to sterotypical cheerleaders approaching a guy sterotypically like him. she's a sweetheart. the way she cared so much about nathan and haley, the way she even just was so open and bright/friendly to mouth. and i love how lucas kind of called it out like "you're a really good friend to her" and she was like "you sound surprised." because as an audience for the first time seeing this, you do have to wonder WHY peyton and brooke are friends when they seem so vastly different. what pulled them together, and what keeps them together. and this episode showed such insight into that. they look after one another. again, here's another situation where peyton needs parental figures and there are none. what she has instead is a fiercly loyal best friend who really is like her family, and vice versa with brooke. i love that lucas got to see this side of brooke. he's like us - he's only ever seen the one side. she also has walls that she's built up and it's so interesting to see through the cracks to who she is at heart. and i love the bit at the restaurant with nathan and haley and stupid tim. you could tell nathan didn't want to say that or act like that. when he was trying to explain and was like "tim would have...." it almost to me seemed like he was in protection mode. here's something special he has and he didn't want tim to come over and cut it all up and make fun of it. so he was just saying what he felt he had to get rid of him and make him back off without really thinking how it'd affect haley. i also cry every time he runs up to her in that cute little jog of his to go talk to her in front of everyone. and not simply that, but to tuck a strand of hair behind her ear. haley is still very much haley and probably wouldn't be too comfortable with some huge display, but this way he let them know "hey, she's my girl" in such a soft, gentle way. and i love that so much. i also love that he bought her a beautiful robe or nightgown as opposed to lingere. it shows the care he has for her, to take into consideration what she'd be comfortable with. he could have gotten her something like socks like she did but he chose something very beautiful he knew she would appreciate and it just shows how much he really sees her. just a very, very, very good episode. i absolutely love this one.

Start of romantic Naley.πŸ₯° Start of a changing Brooke. 😊 Start of Lucas, Peyton, Brooke. 🀨 (I didn't like the implications when I saw this episode for the first time. Not a fan of triangles between friends, especially girls.) Great reactions! (I especially liked your reactions at the end to Nathan and Haley and Keith and Karen. Oh and Karen and Deb. I'm a sucker for a good ship whether it's relationship or friendship. You seem the same.) On another note, I said just wait til next episode several times during your commentating lol. I think you will love the next episode. I liked this episode but it was mainly a setup episode for what's coming up next. Good stuff ahead. Can't wait til you do 2 epis per week:) People seem to annoy you from the outset. Mouth wants to be a sports announcer. Let him live lol. But for real it was probably a way for the writers to explain what was going on as far a basketball for those who had no idea about the game. I thought it was a smart idea.
