2022-05-27 22:41:25 +0000 UTCI enjoy this story a lot (aside from Roger Loyd-Pack's ridiculous performance!); and,for Classic fans,it's packed with Easter Egg references to the Cybermen stories of the Classic era (for instance,the 'resistance' van has 'International Electromatics' on the side of it - a reference to a 2nd Doctor Cyber story). As Jamie intimates above, this was based on a BigFinish audio story; and,indeed,its writer Marc Platt is credited in this story - making him the first Classic Who writer to be involved and credited in the Revived series. In addition,this story's Director (Graeme Harpur) was also a very popular Classic Who director - making this the first Revived story to have been written (at least,in part) and directed by Classic Series veterans (and filled with Classic references).
