Comments

The actress that played Susan (Carole Ann Ford) was very "touchy-feely" as she liked to put it, and naturally hugged the actor the played the Doctor on and off the set, as they grew quite close, and he in some ways kind of became her surrogate Grandfather. Carole Ann Ford was also the kind of person that would hug strangers to say hello and goodbye, and she admitted that sometimes she made people uncomfortable who were not used to that sort of thing.

The things floating in the water and on the ground at the start were water bags that the guy was supposed to fill before he drowned.

This is the 'Mind the Gap' episode. Due to the final story (of this initial 13 episode block) having to be cut down to two episodes,Terry Nation (the writer) was ordered to add an extra episode to his story - hence why very little actually happens,as he had originally structured this as a six parter. (I also suspect that the cave scenery from the Unearthly Child story was re-used.) I never really noticed the sexual tension between Alydon; or as it might be, Ganatus; or as it might be, Antodus.... that Thal guy and Barbara before - but your reaction to their body language and the way they handled their dialogue now makes it seem obvious!
