I'm honestly glad they changed their minds. I can't stand her. :-/

I noticed that she was wearing something on her head when most other people weren't, but I didn't really think much about it. Interesting to know the reason why. The actors may not have appreciated the extra early call time on those days, but shots filmed on located really were pretty cool. That's crazy about Hartnell getting injured! Yeah, that would've shut production down for sure these days. I don't think I am watching the updated saucer FX because I made a comment (not sure if it was this episode or a later one) about how it looked like a pie tin. lol

Apparently, some liked the actress playing Jenny's dynamic with the other Tardis crew and were thinking about adding her as an extra companion. They changed their minds, perhaps because the Tardis was crowded enough already.

Some trivia about this episode: The actress playing Jenny agreed to dye her hair blonde, because it was felt she looked too much like Susan. However, the first scenes they shot were the locations in and around London - before she'd had time to have her hair coloured. Hence the balaclava that she needed to wear. These scenes were all shot very early on weekend mornings, just after sunrise but before most people were up and about. William Hartnell was walking down the ramp from the Dalek shuttle when it unfortunately collapsed, injuring him. Being a professional he kept on working until all his scenes were shot - and then needed to spend a couple of days in Hospital! It was a different world back then. Today, that incident would result in litigation, litigation and more litigation. Back then it was "Well, these things happen. Now.let's carry on;I have a job to do" Are you watching the edition with updated saucer FX? In the original it looks like a wobbly hub-cap on a piece of string. In the updated version it's very smooth; and glides over Nelsons column.
