We did learn about The Great Depression (although, not in great detail and not really anything about how it impacted other countries). I was specifically referring to Hooverville. I had never heard of that before.

2022-08-12 16:22:05 +0000 UTCIt’s crazy to me that you didn’t learn about the Great Depression at school. We definitely learn about it in the UK obviously not that it is exclusive to the US but it started in the US and due to most of the world being reliant on the dollar post ww1 we learn about how it affected Europe and particularly the depression in Germany in the interwar period. I remember looking the idea of the American dream Vs the reality of the great depression in history class.
