2022-08-17 12:54:54 +0000 UTCTo me, a moral message of the movie is that it was wrong to enslave the replicants and use them as forced labour since they were so human-like in both appearances and thought processes. What would need to be different about replicants in order for us to feel that it was OK to use them for labour? I feel it touches on concerns that as we strive to make artificial beings, and create AI that is increasingly human-like, at what point are they sentient and we essentially are creating a slave race?
