Sorry about being late to the party I’m catching up but I agree the monster design let’s down some really great ideas. Personally I love watching this episode as the interior of Southwark cathedral is actually Wells Cathedral and I went to Wells Cathedral School so I had my assembly and other school events in the cathedral every week. It is actually way bigger than shown as they made of the background pitch black and only filmed in the nave of the cathedral.

It seems like he's pretty ready to and would have let it happen by now if the regeneration were voluntary. But, maybe there's always been someone around each time he dies that he thinks is worth regenerating for at least one more time. 🤷♀️

2022-08-20 20:44:22 +0000 UTCThe monster bit loses me too but I love the part about what it means to live this old, The Doctor has lived too long and has seen and lost too much, this is a recurring theme in the show already and will keep appearing more and more. The Doctor's speech about it in the Church was VERY GOOD.
