My head canon for the cot is that the Gallifreyan is simply "The baby". I can absolutely see Moffat loving the idea that this cot is just some cheap, mass manufactured trash from Gallifrey with a cringey decal, but now it looks really cool after various DIY repairs and attachments after being used for each new child in the family

The Bassinet was just a red herring. They were never talking about what was written on that, but they showed it so we would think that's what they are talking about. Then Amy, seeing things from our perspective assumed River was talking about the Gallifreyan written on the basinet too. But it was always about the Prayer Leaf translating Melody Pond to River Song. Also, the moment you realize Stephen Moffat had been planning this since River's first appearance 2 seasons ago. Well worth the payoff.

It's not an exaggeration to say that a lot of us have been eagerly waiting for this reaction. I was not disappointed. 😁 Angry Doctor is sooooo good! Lots of timey-wimey stuff going on with River in this one, despite the fact that she had like 3 minutes of screen time. Some fans have even put together (very spoilery!) flowcharts of how River's timeline interacts with the Doctor. Beyond that I'll withhold comment except to say I'm so happy you are at this point in your watch.

Amy's flesh avatar worked like how the flesh was originally being used. She's asleep in the machine and get consciousness is being projected to the avatar, she only became aware when the Doctor broke the like and destroyed Avatar Amy. I think it's also said that a month passes between Amy giving birth and The Doctor coming for her

Rain

I've heard of people cutting all of River's scenes & putting them in chronological order so people could see the events from her perspective

The thing with the headless monks was (which was said in the episode), they don't register as life forms. So it makes tactically sense to keep them back when the "normal" life forms left the asteroid to commence a surprise attack. They were also mentioned in the episode with the crash of the Byzantium where we met River the first time with Matt. The museum where the homing box of the Byzantium starliner was found, also did belong to the headless monks. And there will be some more information in the future.

I have waited quite a long time for this event and the look on your face!

from my understanding after having rewatched the scene a billion times(which still might not be entirely correct bc they don't actually explain much lmao), the whole thing with the writing on the cot was just a misdirect. the doctor was reading the prayer leaf, which was lying inside the cot, and that's when he made the connection. And when he was like "But, you and I, we *kissy noises*" and then looked at Amy and Rory it was just him going "lol you and I have kissed, your parents are gonna fucking kill me." In terms of the Amy flesh avatar thing, they didn't explain it well at all. amy's flesh avatar was not the same thing as what was happening with the clones in the rebel flesh two parter. think of it as Amy's consciousness being projected into the flesh avatar. she was completely unaware she WASNT in the tardis until she woke up at the end of the last episode. I really enjoy this episode even though it is genuinely kind of a mess! I think eleven, Amy, and Rory all got some really good acting moments :)

One of my all time favourites! The colonel Runaway scene is so good, love when the darkness of the Eleventh Doctor comes out, he hides it so well then when he wants to be he can be one of the darkest incarnations
