While it was great that they got Ian McKellen to take part in this episode, it has to be said that hearing Gandalf's distinctive tones emanating from a giant snowglobe wanting to rule the world was more than a bit disconcerting... :-)

The mystery is definitely needed, I think since series 6 the writers got a bit lost with what to do next, so this is a well needed fresh start for Matt Smith. The chemistry with Jenna (Clara) is also fantastic, very different from his almost paternal role with Amy.

Well I guess Asylum Of The Daleks was technically the start for her lol, but you know what I mean. I can't wait for you to see Clara's journey, she's SO important and just wonderful. I even have a Clara tattoo. 😊

2023-03-17 20:58:53 +0000 UTCYeah, so this episode sees the beginning of the Great Intelligence who you've recently seen with the Second Doctor in The Abominable Snowmen & The Web of Fear, in the :London Underground in 1967. I think the reason for the two voices is because she has to put on a posh accent in order to have the job of governess.
