Series 9 is, without a doubt, my favorite of NuWho. I'm so glad you've made it here!! What a banger premiere two-parter. Missy is absolutely unhinged and it's glorious to watch. Mad respect to Michelle Gomez, she's an incredible actor. Now that you've seen how part 2 starts, you'll know why I laughed out loud when you said in your outro "I'm going to get into the second episode or my mind will keep spinning".

2023-07-01 03:35:13 +0000 UTCUgh I’m so obsessed with the “Clara, my Clara” line because we’ve heard it from eleven (s8 finale), missy (flatline? I think?), and now twelve. I love Clara’s dynamic w the doctor and I also think the whole concept of missy picking Clara out for the doctor/making sure they stay together makes Missy’s relationship w her particularly interesting too :) Missy is (very obviously) my favorite character and I lovveee seeing her walk the line of anti-hero/morally-grey villain/trickster archetype. Excited to watch part two!!!<3

2023-07-01 01:32:25 +0000 UTCApparently people complained about the last series being too predictable with all one-parters (except the finale) so Stephen Moffat decided to surprise everyone with a 2-part series premiere instead 😂😂. That's why I think it has that finale feel to it. It's definitely my favorite series opener though. And Missy is so funny, I love her so much.
