I think this Doctor just coming out the back of an 800 year war has really influenced him. Between his anti soldier thing and not knowing if hes a good man, I'm glad all that time on Trenzalore has a lasting impact on his character. All I can say is his is my favourite character journey of all the Doctors for me. I'm also one of the few who really love this episode. I know Gatiss episodes in general don't tend to go down as well among fans, but this one was just so much fun to me as a massive Robin Hood fan.

2023-05-22 00:11:57 +0000 UTCOh I definitely got the “Doctor is jealous of Robin Hood” vibe as well. I always likened 12’s attitude in regards to Clara is a bit like a boy in elementary school who doesn’t quite know how to process that he is interested in someone. I think, certain elements aside, ROS is a really good episode about the power of stories to people. The subtle implication that Clara can’t stop talking about the Doctor (kind of like a girl with a crush) is so cute as well.

But it's in my top 10 New Who episodes and I don't care if everyone else thinks I'm crazy for that. I loved seeing Clara so excited, I love it when she takes charge and she was fantastic at interrogating the sheriff. The bickering between Robin and The Doctor cracked me up, it's like he was jealous of Clara liking Robin so much lol. And I loved how they paralleled Robin with The Doctor with how they're both loveable thieves and how they're both heroes and legends but they both don't quite believe that about themselves. And I really loved how they said that Robin and The Doctor are both fictional but that doesn't make them not real and not important to people. I think that message was amazing. Yes the plot is silly and the golden arrow thing makes no sense but I don't really care about that because this episode just makes me happy. It's my ultimate guilty pleasure episode. 😍 As for if this Doctor will become more charming and warm, yes over time. But you see bits of it already like how he brought Marion back for Robin. And you definitely see it with Clara, with the way he asked her if she's ok when they were reunited. He's not like that with anyone else yet, he is grumpy you're right, but give him time. Peter is a Doctor that tends to grow on people. I can't wait for next week. The next episode is my favourite episode ever of the show, it's BRILLIANT. I really hope you'll love it, I think you will. 🤞 And the one after that is great too. Bring it on. And I hope you feel better soon. 💕

2023-05-20 05:21:14 +0000 UTCAs you have watched & posted ROS I can fill you in on what was changed thanks to the script leak, although this time it wasn't just changed but was changed after filming. There is a scene where the Sherrif's head is cut off revealing him to be a robot. Due to a real life incident involving ISIS this was removed before broadcast due to sensitivity. However this does omit a very pivotal piece of information IMHO of this story when it was aired
