For me personally, I think what contributes to Lucas' unlikability is the acting choices Chad Michael Murray makes. I'm not the biggest CMM fan so maybe I'm biased, but he comes off quite disingenuous and unnatural. Because of that, it makes it hard to root for Lucas.

How are we in season 6 and he's still acting like this? How have Nathan and Haley not rubbed off on him? Why is Nathan written so well and Lucas is not? Nathan has to tell him how to act after all this time because he definitely wouldn't have gotten there on his own. I feel like he's put on a front this season and tried to say and do the right thing, but he's still who he's always been in relationships. Annoying as hell and all about him. His growth as a character is non existent compared to others. Even Victoria's is better to me.
