Well, that just happened. I loved the reveal in this episode. I knew I had seen the Cyberman eye shape before (obviously) but I couldn't remember where. The fanfare clinched it for me, and I had a moment. Wonderful!

2023-06-25 22:44:52 +0000 UTCI didn't much care for the flimsy "dark water" plot device -- a bit of bogus "science" which only exists to put off the revelation that the dead bodies are being turned into Cybermen until the tanks are being drained. On the other hand, the moment when a pair of doors close and the 3W logos form a Cyberman face after the Doctor says "I feel like I'm missing something obvious", as Murray Gold’s six-note Cyber-fanfare blares out... now *that's* a properly done reveal.

2023-06-18 03:59:43 +0000 UTCOn a rewatch, this has got to be one of my favorite episodes in the entire series. 15 minutes of very emotional scenes, some comedy with Missy and an enticing plota very emotional conversation between Clara and Danny only to end it with a full on Cyberman invasion and the Missy reveal. Something I only caught this rewatch was the cathedral being stamped with Cyberman eyes as the 3W logo everywhere.
