It's not a matter of not being able "wrap their heads around" it. It's a matter of personal preference. The characters will always be far more important to me than anything else about a show.

2025-06-24 08:19:01 +0000 UTCFunny, most people think the parallel world concept is brilliant and why this is generally regarded as the best or one of the best 3rd Doctor stories. It’s showing what could happen in such a scenario if things are slightly different to ‘our world’. It’s a brilliant storyline that’s excellently portrayed and acted, and it really shouldn’t matter at all that these are not ‘our people’, that’s irrelevant, it’s what’s happening and what’s at stake that matter. Modern reviewers never cease to astound me with their bizarre takes on great stories. At its best Who is much, much more about plot, atmosphere and world building than about character anyway. Something a lot of modern fans can’t seem to wrap their heads around
