I like the spookiness of this episode but the ending annoys me for some reason. The twist that he’s her son and not her father doesn’t really add anything to the story and feels like a dramatic reveal for no reason

2023-08-25 20:11:50 +0000 UTCInterestingly, I personally find the RTD mysteries more subtle in how their presented. Because its quite easy to totally miss it. Like I wouldn't blame anyone for not picking up on "Bad Wolf" or "Torchwood" Because its very subtle, sometimes only on screen for seconds at a time. Where as Moffats mysteries are pretty clear cut. Not in the direction their going or their solution, but the fact that they exist. Like "Silence Will Fall" was not a subtle weave through. It was pretty obvious from the start that's what's gonna be the mystery thing. Atleast for me personally, I know everyone has their own view.
