Doctor Who, Marvel, and General Updates
Added 2023-11-06 12:56:05 +0000 UTCThe reactions for episodes 11x10 and 11x11 of Doctor Who and episode 3.7 of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D will be recorded and released later today. (I had planned to get them done yesterday but it was my husband's birthday and he originally said he didn't want to do anything to celebrate, but he changed his mind over the weekend so I needed to spend the day with him.)

Polls for This Week:
You're going to see three polls come out today or tomorrow. One for our November Zoom Hangout, one for the November non-Marvel movies, and one for something related to the 60th Anniversary of NuWho.

Classic Who Update:
In case you missed the announcement at the end of the reaction for episode 8x10, I've been informed there are three Classic Who stories I should watch before getting to the last NuWho special before the 60th Anniversary specials.
So, as we did in preparation for the 50th Anniversary, we'll be jumping ahead a little bit. After we wrap up the reactions for Colony in Space, we'll be jumping to the season 19 stories Kinda and Earthshock. After those, we'll be jumping ahead again to the first story in season 25. I don't know the name of that story and I was advised that it should stay that way, so PLEASE do not mention it.
After we wrap up that story, we'll go back to season 8 and proceed as usual.

Marvel Updates (Movies and Shows):
Now that we've finished the Infinity Saga/Phase 3 of the movies, I want to outline what the plan will be going forward for Marvel media.
I've been advised that I do actually need to see The Incredible Hulk as it will tie in to other things later on down the line. So, that will be our movie for this week. I'm going to try to record it today, but it might need to wait until tomorrow.
After that, we're going to head into the X-Men movies as I've been told there will eventually be tie-ins for those as well. I have seen X-Men and X2 so those will be rewatches. However, I've only seen each of them once, and it was when they first came out so I remember basically nothing about the plots.
After we wrap up the X-Men movies, we're going to switch things up a bit. Instead of rotating every other week between a Marvel and non-Marvel movie, we're going to do a weekly Marvel reaction for either a movie or a tv show episode depending on what's next in the schedule.
So, here's the order of the Marvel reactions for the next several months:
This week: The Incredible Hulk
Nov. 20th: X-Men (rewatch)
Dec. 4th: X2 (rewatch)
Dec. 18th: X-Men: The Last Stand
Jan. 1st: X-Men: First Class
Jan. 15th: X-Men: Days of Future Past
Jan. 29th: X-Men: Apocalypse
Feb. 12th: X-Men: Dark Pheonix
Feb. 26th: Logan
Mar. 4th: WandaVision (One episode per week)
May 6th: Falcon and the Winter Soldier (One episode per week)
June 17th: Loki (Season one only; One episode per week)
July 29th: Black Widow
UPDATE: Two additional X-Men movies are getting added to the list. However, that might mean I need to rethink how we're going to handle Marvel after The Incredible Hulk. Just as an FYI, it's not as straightforward as me just deciding to do WandaVision before X-Men. There are several factors that I need to consider and there are some behind-the-scenes things that are coming into play in relation to my schedule and what I will have time for over the next 6-10 months. I'll do some more thinking on it this week and will update you.

2023-11-06 16:54:33 +0000 UTCI don’t know why, but whoever is helping you with the Marvel timelines left out two films. X-Men Origins: Wolverine and The Wolverine. I believe X-Men Origins: Wolverine falls in between Last Stand and First Class, while The Wolverine falls in between First Class and Days of Future Past. I don’t believe Origins is crucial to the timeline’s story arc, so you can skip it if you so choose, although it does add a lot of insight into Wolverine’s story arc. However, there is an end credits scene in The Wolverine that is kinda vital to the story. Speaking of, the first two X-Men films have no end credits scenes, but I believe all the rest of them do, with maybe the exception of First Class. I’m not entirely sure though about First Class; I don’t remember. I do know that Last Stand has a very important one that you cannot miss. If you do miss it, you’re gonna be confused as hell when viewing future X-Men films.
