Ok this is the reason I just binge watched the last 2 with you. I couldn't go to bed without watching this first lol. The way Ruth's Doctor looks, and acts, she just commands the role of the Doctor. I instantly believed she was the Doctor at that moment. Sadly I was spoiled for the Captain Jack reveal, the split second he was on screen in the UK, one of my friends posted on facebook about it, complete with photo. I was waiting on the episode to air on BBC America, and hadn't made the connection what time it was in the UK. So this was the episode that made me stay away from Social media until I've watched the episode. Earlier this season I spoiled myself on the Master reveal because I recognized the actor and looked him up. He was credited as the Master. Basically season 12 is the spoiled season for me, and the reason that I stay away from anyone and everything until I've watched the latest episode lol.

2023-12-12 07:07:08 +0000 UTCIt was SO fun watching this episode with you, been waiting for this one. It's interesting watching it back. A lot of loose ends going on. Jack, Doctor Ruth (as I like to call her lol), The Master, Gallifrey, the Timeless Child, the lone Cyberman etc etc. And there were some other subtle references in here too. What comes of all this, if anything, I'll keep to myself though of course. But yeah such an unexpectedly MASSIVE episode. Much like you, we all went into it expecting a simple Judoon story and were stunned by what we got. Captain Jack being back was SO awesome. All the controversy surrounding John Barrowman started well after this, it's a very recent controversy. So he was still fine at this point. Although I don't think he's a bad person anyway, I won't get into all that, but yeah hearing Jack's voice made me so happy and I'm glad he's still so flirty lol. π There's not really much more I can say without spoilers. But great episode, I'm thankful you liked it. π
