Finally Getting Back to It After the Move ...

Just wanted to give you all an update. We made the big move from Colorado to Indiana and have been getting settled into the new place.

The move itself went well, but my laptop (which has been broken but functional for the past six months or so) finally officially bit the dust. So, I bought a replacement and discovered that several of the main programs I use for the channel and my podcasting business weren't exactly as compatible with Apple/Mac products as they claimed to be. So, I returned it last week the replacement for that one finally arrived last night. Fortunately, all seems to be going well with it so far.

Unfortunately, when I was finally able to work on getting my office set up last week for recordings, the desktop PC I use to record reactions refused to turn on. I've had the computer for three years and haven't had any issues with the computer itself. It was working just fine when I packed it up for the move, so I'm not sure what the deal is. I have a protection plan on it through Best Buy and they weren't able to get it to turn on either. So, they had to send it off to Dell for them to look at and told me, even if they can fix it, it will take about a month to get it back.

So, on top of having to get a new laptop, I also got a new desktop. So, I've been in computer research, buying, set-up, returning, more research, more buying, and more set-up hell for the past two and a half weeks. The upside is that I should experience fewer random tech glitches with the recordings and the new screen is WAY brighter and considerably higher quality. So, I might be able to actually see what's happening in darker scenes now. lol

I was able to do some test recordings and editing last night and, other than needing to make a few additional adjustments to the audio, things seem to be working well so far.

So, I should be able to get back to releasing reactions again in the next day or two. And, let me tell you, I AM READY. Ya'll know I'm far too impatient to be going this long between episodes! lol

So, Daredevil will now start next Wednesday (we'll double-up on episodes for an extra week toward the end of the season), Broadchurch will still be starting this Saturday as originally planned, and we'll be doubling up on Classic Who, Game of Thrones, and Agents of SHIELD to get us caught back up by the end of the weekend.

Lastly, we will be doing a Zoom hangout this month so keep an eye out for the poll (I'm just waiting the final details for a house guest we'll have next week so I know what days I'll be available).
