Huh, I learned something too. I didn't know Double Edge was only power 100 in gen1. Kid me just thought it was the same as gen2 because you can't see the power of moves in gen1. :D

I know you've said in the past that you liked getting feedback from people and learning stuff so here are some suggestions that might help Aerodactyl: Did you consider using its other ability Rock Head + Double Edge (move tutor in Sootopolis)? Recoil-free 120 base power 100% accuracy move :D Might have made a difference vs. Drake or Wallace where you tried Return and didn't quite make KO thresholds. When you do the FireRed run, the move tutor is in victory road just before the exit to the league. I've been making myself raise every fully evolved into the 60s to see what I can do with it and Rock Head+Double Edge was my steelix's go-to trick. I'm sure it will help Aerodactyl too. When you are backtracking to Norman you can stop by the flower shop to get the white herb (held item that will cancel any one stat drop). Bulbapedia says it's the girl outside the shop that gives it. That could help vs Sydney or Drake to cancel intimidate.
