Third Person POV

Skellige.

...

...

Ciri was bewildered by everything she had heard and seen...
To know that she and everyone she knew would be creations in another world through books, and later, games and even series... that was... very strange, to say the least.

She saw her destiny in that world, she saw it... and it was a destiny where her Madara didn’t exist.
She had even had to control her puppet in the games a few times, she had seen the battles that virtual Ciri faced, had seen the scars on her face and body—scars she didn’t have here—
the dangers she was living through and she was alone.
The situations that Ciri lived were even harder, and there was still such a lack of power, much weaker than the Ciri now standing here.

Currently, her magical capacities and abilities were much more powerful than shown in that world—or rather, in that game.
The reason she hadn’t become that Ciri was obvious: here, she had Madara Uchiha by her side.

Madara went on to tell a bit more about his life in that world as well, with her showing renewed interest in the subject, speaking about how he had simply entered her world as a child in an orphanage in Cintra.
It was a story that had already been altered, which wasn’t hard to notice.

It was strange, but also satisfying to Ciri, which made her smile without being able to contain herself.
To discover all of that through his illusion and from his mouth, while he answered many of the questions she had about Madara—who had always been very reserved—was satisfying, even if hard to understand.

Ciri noticed that it was already night, while they were still sitting there after Madara’s genjutsu was dispelled.
Her gaze returned to her future husband, who seemed to be reflecting... Maybe regretful?
No, he had to tell her those things—she knew that, and she was grateful for it.
Even though it wasn’t easy, after all, she couldn’t imagine what she would do in his place.

Then she started, slightly embarrassed, trying to change the strange atmosphere.
"You're more handsome than you were in that life."
She smiled, while he gave a small smile at her little joke.

Then she continued, seeing the silence settle again.
"And I can’t complain about not being that Ciri, Madara. She’s certainly a much more worried, sadder girl with more scars...
Maybe she needed a Madara in her life too..."
He gave a silly smile.

"Are you okay with all this?"
Madara looked at her.
"I wanted to show you this before you and I made any decisions.
After all, I didn’t want to have secrets between us."
He clarified.

"Are you asking if I’d like to be that Ciri I just saw?"
She smiled playfully.
"Definitely not."
She answered herself, before he could say anything, as she moved closer to him, taking his arm and squeezing it, before kissing him.

"Madara, I’m really confused about how this works...
But you yourself said it: I’m a real person to you.
We’ve spent twelve years together.
And you’re also very real to me.
I’m glad you told me this.
My feelings for you... our problems... they’ve always been real all along.
This is our life and there’s no way anyone can say that none of this is real.
Even if in other worlds they see us as a story told in books.
It doesn’t matter when it’s us who are living here."
Ciri said with a flushed face.

"You're right."
He replied, accepting her thoughts.

"Thank you for telling me the truth. I would’ve been offended if you hadn’t done it now, and then I ended up finding out in the future. I’d be even more frustrated if you never told me."
She said sincerely.

"I'm glad I didn’t offend you, then."
He laughed.

"Well... I just want to know how we’re going to explain all these things to our children."
She laughed in embarrassment, thinking Madara would also feel awkward.
But no — he just turned his gaze back to the waves crashing against the rocks below them.

"We’ll leave that question for the future."
He said.

"Yes, you’re right,"
she agreed.
"But there’s no doubt that I’m happy and couldn’t ask for anything better than living what we are here.
That is a Ciri who didn’t have a Madara, but I do,"
she said shyly, reinforcing the thought.

He nodded and she continued.
"But it was interesting to play that game,"
she said cautiously, continuing.
"There are many places we can explore, don’t you think?"

Madara remembered Geralt’s adventures and even some moments with her.
"Yes, there are many places for us to explore."
He said.

"And we’re not letting grandpa die either,"
she said firmly, remembering his death in the Kaer Morhen attack, furious when it happened, nearly releasing the same energy that the game’s Ciri had released when it happened because of those elves.

Now he understood quite a bit about who they were, even though the game didn’t give many details — it still gave a certain idea about those who were hunting her.

"And I wouldn’t be alone here."
She murmured.

"Yes, that’s not going to happen."
He said.

She then changed the subject.
"Now I’m curious about Skellige... I’d like to go see the giant. Can we go?"
She asked excitedly.

"How about tomorrow?
We can leave the main island.
The islands aren’t far. We can run there."
He said.

"You speak like anyone could run on water, Madara.
You’ll have to carry me,"
she said laughing, in a shy tone.

"You talk like that would be a problem for me."
He replied.

She immediately gave him an alarmed look.
"Look, if you’re going to compare me to a cow again, just know I’ll throw you onto that rock,"
she growled, while he opened a wider smile, even showing his teeth.

"Anyway, let’s head back. I bet they’re waiting for us,"
he said, starting to get up and offering his hand to her, pulling her up, while she brushed the sand off her feminine backside, cleaning off some of the dirt.

"That’s true, there’s a banquet. But we still need to get ready. Won’t it be a bit weird if we show up like this at the castle?"
She murmured.

"We’ll go already prepared."
Madara said, and he summoned TotĂł near them as they climbed and moved through the forest again until they reached a small, isolated lake.

They were alone there, while Madara began creating a wooden house for them to get ready.

"Let’s get ready here,"
he said, as he pulled out items from storage, taking out clothes and a huge mirror with accessories and makeup—things Ciri liked to use, at least to give her face a little touch-up.

They first went to the lake, quickly diving into the small body of water to wash off after today’s adventure.
Ciri teased Madara while they were naked, and they ended up having a quickie in the water.

After they came back, Ciri quickly grabbed one of the dresses from among the ones Madara kept with him.
She started getting ready, not minding being naked around him—though that ended up leading to them going at it one more time like a pair of rabbits, when she began to tease him and ask for it.

Which meant they had to take another bath.

When they were finally almost ready this time, she was now fiddling with her dress, swaying side to side as she looked at Madara, who was wearing a dark noble robe with some discreet details, since he preferred that darker, more understated style—
a contrast to her own taste, as she wore brighter, more eye-catching clothing, like white.

However, she had picked a blue dress this time, and it suited her perfectly.

"How about wearing this?"
Madara said as he approached her from behind, something in his hand, and he revealed it while placing it around her neck, surprising her and fastening the clasp at the back.

It was a necklace with a white diamond, replacing the School of the Wolf medallion she used to wear.

"Wait... This belonged to my grandmother!"
Ciri immediately recognized it.

"Yes. She gave it to me, before the first battle in Cintra...
She asked me to give it to you one day, but it took me a few years.
After all, we didn’t want to draw too much attention, so I never saw a reason to give it to you, since you wouldn’t wear it in public... until now."
He explained, while she nodded, not offended.

"I understand. It’s all right. I’m so happy.
We had to hide for so long, and now we’re basically creating a public wedding.
Are you okay with that?"
Ciri asked curiously, looking at Madara behind her in the mirror.

"Why wouldn’t I be?"
Madara smiled.

"The North will know about it eventually."
She said, after all, the news of this wedding would leave Skellige.

"At this point, it doesn’t matter anymore.
The princess of Cintra will be my wife—let everyone know it."
He said.

"And I will have the fearsome and powerful Madara Uchiha as my husband,"
she said with a giggle, while finishing her hair and adjusting the necklace.

Madara stood waiting.
She was finally ready.

"How do I look?"
She asked.

"Wonderful."
He offered her his hand, and when she took it—

"You look wonderful too.
I don’t want to see that girl getting near you.
How can Cerys be so shameless?"
Ciri complained, leaning toward his face with a smile, but didn’t have the courage to kiss him—afraid of smudging her freshly applied lipstick.

"Well, you’ll have to stay glued to me the whole night, then,"
he challenged her.

"And what else would I do?"
She laughed.
"I’ll be with you the whole time... for the rest of my life,"
she murmured, her voice nearly inaudible, her face blushing with a hint of embarrassment for saying it.

"I’m sure you will.
Anyway, I’ll ask Totó to stay here until tomorrow,"
he said as he stepped out first, placing some food for the griffin to eat and stay through the night.
He even made a platform so it wouldn’t be attacked by anything from the forest — floating over the water, where it could fly away if anything threatening approached.

"Let’s go,"
she said, stepping out of the house shortly after, as Madara approached and took her hand.

Ciri gave a soft smile and, in the next moment, they began to glow, disappearing from the spot.

In front of the castle, the glow appeared, startling everyone nearby.
As they began to materialize, cries of surprise echoed around them — nothing else appeared, just them, looking toward the door.

Geralt was there, approaching, already wearing a noble robe and with a displeased look.

"You took too long!"
He accused.

"We ran into some problems, Father,"
Ciri smiled at him.

The word "Father" caught Geralt by surprise.

Ciri had always been treated like a daughter, but she had never actually called him that.
She’d come to understand it better through that game Madara showed her — it was a good moment for her to acknowledge it.

Madara just gave a small smile, seeing Geralt still dazed as he processed the feeling of truly being her father.

Despite the confusion, Geralt looked at them, clearly moved, and continued.
"Well, I’m glad you’re safe. Let’s go inside. The others are waiting,"
Geralt said, as Ciri showed a joyful smile and watched Madara raise his arm slightly, and she linked hers with his, following him as a couple into the night.
