Update 1.22 with Gallery!
Added 2016-08-31 10:49:21 +0000 UTCIt's time! Here we are, the end of the month update! What glorious content awaits?
~ Darius Day 5 - By now, you should have noticed me stray from what I had been doing on the other routes. I wanted to split off a little sooner, since I was starting to feel like all the routes were way too similar to this point. I DID add an image to his Day 4 route as well, so you might want to go back through so you can find that.
~ Dozer Day 6 - Ahhh, Dozer... Nobody knows anything about you, but this day... You guys get more insight to his character and what kinds of things he likes. On top of that, it's opening up more of what's to come for him. His route needed a lot of BGs, but... you'll see that I failed on that front. More to come though, so sit tight!
~ Other things - You'll notice I changed up the GUI just a little. I'm not a graphic designer, by any means, so what you see if me just testing the waters to see how certain things work and check out the extent of what I can do.
~ Image Gallery - I've made it look a little nicer in regards to the black screen with that white text on top. It was time for that to go.
~ AS WELL, thanks a ton to Regonoreth for figuring out my image gallery problem. With the coding he gave me, I can start reworking all of my images. While I'm happy about this, I'm also crying on the inside, because that's a lot of stuff to do.
For now, I've taken care of all of Dozer's and Azaghal's images. I had to go through each route and replace their original image code with the new one, so please, if you have an issues with character images (cast you know you've seen a sprite for) not showing up (or showing red text at the top of the screen), let me know! --- This does mean certain images will have to be unlocked again in the gallery!
~ Fixed Day 14 for Coach if you were seeing his clothes change after arriving at the buffet and for all the issues when I first launched that update.
~ Fixed an issue with Chester's Day 12 where you could loop into the anime sections multiple times.
~ Corrected a variety of inconsistencies and many, many, MAAAANY typos and such.
The FAQ also details how you can report bugs to me!

Thanks to everyone for the support, and thank you to all you new guys this month! You're really helping with this project, and I can't properly express my gratitude. Thank you all! It's a bit overwhelming at times.
And I can never say enough that you need to make sure to show some love to my dear friend and artist, CursedMarked.
Thanks, everyone!

So, I don't think it's odd that Dozer might seem less complete if you look at it like thatβa lot of the things you mention for the other characters didn't even show up in any significant way until Week 2 and Dozer's only up to Saturday. That said, I'd also class most of them as gimmicks. They're not the core of who a character is, they're just some interesting situation that helps show them off. Spence isn't "stripper best friend", he's a confident methodical protective type-A who's found he also likes being a ridiculous tease. Chester isn't a geek with a traumatic past and a protective brother, he's a contagiously-enthusiastic puppy romantic with low self-confidence in a lot of areas. Darius has been flinging his major gimmick in your face since the start because flinging things in your face (figuratively, possibly also literally) *is* his major trait so far. In a way Dozer's been doing the same, except it's less obvious because most of his traits aren't showy. At all. But there's been enough so far that I think if you're looking for some central core you can find it in his drive towards sports medicine, and the stubbornness, practicality, and meticulous care that goes along with that. (Most of which traits also apply themselves well to bonsai, I'd imagine...) And yeah, also the taciturnity gimmick.

2016-09-03 19:10:49 +0000 UTCSo I had a few thoughts on this update First off I see where you are coming from in regards to the routes being similar, however I personally find that having key points that are consistent across all routes help keep the timeline straight and make the dissimilarities that show up later more pronounced. That said I'll admit that the whole thing between Darius, Spencer, and the MC would not have worked as well with the Elton Courts scenario so I can see where the differences are helpful too. Darius, why do you put up this front all the time? Take a chance and let someone get to know the real you. This was an informative update overall Darius is a very complex character and the one I am most looking forward to learning more about. One thing that bothered me though was at the end of his route if you went with the "not really" option his attitude and actions seemed less playful and flirtatious and more hostile and sinister, which while I wouldn't mind seeing a darker side of his personality doesn't really fit with what we've seen from his character so far. Spencer I know he means well and all, but I don't think he realizes how much of a dick he can be at times, especially where the MC is involved. (maybe he just cares too much) Dozer has potential but compared to the other characters he seems less complete. Not to criticize it just seems like you aren't entirely sure what direction you want to take his character at the moment. I get the whole mysterious vibe he has going it just seems like he lacks a core foundation to build off of, for example the Coach has his book the whole thing with his ex and his depression issues, Spencer has being long time friends with the MC as well as trying to establish a relationship there and his secrecy regarding his job, Chester has the whole nerd culture thing as well as his bad past experiences and having an overprotective brother to deal with, and Darius is the quintessential "bad boy" with the rebellious attitude and stunt driver thing, as well as his dismissive attitude towards sex and relationships in general, but still has deeper layers he keeps hidden from everyone. Comparatively Dozer lacks any real connection with the others, he mentions that the MC reminds him of his friend back home but beyond that it doesn't seem like there is any real reason for them to want to hang out together, though that may become clearer as we get further along. Honestly I might just be overlooking something obvious here so feel free to correct me on that one. Overall I did enjoy this update and look forward to seeing what comes next. Also this ended up being a lot longer than I intended so I apologize for that, but at any rate hope it is at least somewhat helpful.
