Idea for next shirt: "Chef Chester" and then some "Beef" tagline with like a chef boyardee style Chester in the middle. Probably not the first to make that suggestion, but it just popped in my head. Btw, 10/10 for the Chester update!

How about meeting the parents of either Dozer, Chester, or Spencer? They are mentioned several times throughout the novel and I think Spencer or MC even mention the idea of visiting Spencer's parents. Overall, I think that would add to the story and give more significance to the mentioning of the parents. Also, it was foreshadowed in the novel that the relationship with any of the characters might have an issue at some point (Chester and Vernon, Coach and Diana, Darius and the crazy guy, etc), I just wanted to ask if you were gonna build up to a sort of climax at some point. ( I really don't see any issues with Spencer's route, I mean I don't see any possible threats to his relationship with MC.)

My only suggestion that hasn't already been made above somewhere would be for the Spencer story-line. I think it would be a good idea to have options to make the MC a sore loser, or something along the lines of not enjoying being beat by Spencer at everything. Something that would allow the player to see a different side of Spencer instead of the constantly better than the MC at everything Spencer. Maybe have him let the MC win depending on how low of confidence the MC has after losing to him tons of times? I dunno just an idea. I was also going to suggest changing the confidence system a little, because there is a lot of options where the only way to get love is to also get confidence, and for those wanting to go on a none-confidence bottom run would have trouble due to lack of chances to get love without picking confident options.

That could be a fun idea with Dozer x3 Seems the side stuff is a big plus for people when it comes to characters not involved as much with the MC, so I think I'll plan some stuff out for that.

On the other hand, I feel like it would be difficult to give MC a fully fleshed out background while also leaving him vague for the player to fill in themselves. Honestly, I think he has done pretty well but I do agree that there could be a little more as long as it continues to allow the player creative freedom.

My main suggestion would be to add more "interest" in the MC's background. So far, I think Dozer's route was the best in this aspect. Sometimes it feels a little one sided in the sense of learning a bunch about a romance option while they learn very little about us. For example, with Harold, we are learning about his depression and how to be there for him but he doesn't know much about the MC in terms of his family, being homeless, or how he feels. They both have pretty rough backgrounds and sometimes it doesn't feel mutual. Maybe incorporate that conversation into a day where the MC spends a day helping Maria around the shelter and the romance option comes over to help as well? Anyway, this was just my opinion. I have enjoyed playing all the routes so far and will continue to support your work.

I agree with this, all of the situations so far have felt fairly organic to me, really helped me connect with the characters and what was going on a bit more. I am looking forward to seeing what Diana and such actually look like to give more of a face to the enemy as it were xD and yeah I think keeping some of the CG's under wraps til the full release wouldn't be a bad idea either a nice little surprise for us all :D

General feedback. The thing I want to get across the most is how great you are at writing characters that feel human and feel real. I have never read anything in the game and gone, "this wouldn't happen like that," which is something I think a lot of others VN miss the mark on. Also, I've seen a few post about adding CG/Pics to scene just for the artwork and how it would enhance the scene, which I do believe is all great and stuff, but I actually would prefer to wait and see some of those for when the game is released. We are playing kinda like a beta version, so not everything should be in their. There should be a difference between how the beta and the final version looks, imo.

The only thing that I would really like to see in this game is Chester getting better with his Japanese and learning some of the things he's learned from anime aren't right, e.g. when he explains "senpai" to MC it's really wrong. It would be funny if a Japanese-speaking character corrected him at some point and he decided to take a Japanese class as an elective or something.

The wall scrolls I could see Dozer maybe in a japanses setting, big sakura trees, him with a bonanza tree. maybe naked. just im in the peaceful nature at peace with himself. I would also like to say maybe a pic with everyone, like a "yearbook" one swf and one nswf that has like Coach showing his bulge off, Spencer mooning the camera, something like that. Last I would like to suggest a "side story" that shows side plots, like Dozer and Chester getting together. As far as Main story I think something big with Coach. Like what if, MC caught Coach banging his ex-wife, after everything?! Of course the MC gas every right to storm out say F YOU to Harold. But then he remembers Coach has depression. So on the way home or even during that night MC has that realization and rushes back to Coaches house, putting his own anger and hurt aside to make sure Coach is still there.

One suggestion I would make is allowing the MC to organise a date or event for his chosen partner and be a bit more proactive for once, hes mostly reactive atm. Maybe learn guitar to serenade his partner or something and achieving it without raising too much suspicion

For me, these wall scrolls would need to be no nudity and no teasing (SFW). I have NSFW stuff on my computer but for something I am actually hanging up, and will be seeing all the time, I would want it to be more regular. I just would not want to see porn day in day out every day. For Coach Harold Grifter I would do something dapper. Maybe him in a tuxedo.

I'm absolutely infatuated with this game. I'm a huge romance novel nerd, have read a lot of weird romance novels due to my work allowing me to have a lot of down time to read, this is the first visual novel I've ever read/played and it's hands down something i'm stupidly in love with. The Darius story is something that deeply reminds me of how i met my fiance, I've had him read along with me while i played through his line and it actually made him tear up because of how consistent it is with how we ended up meeting and being together. That throbe was spur of the moment and silly for me, but it worked... kinda nicely X3 It really depends on the animations and how they are used. I'd like to add some basic stuff here and there, but that'll be waaaaay later. Richard prolly won't get much lover till I finish someone else's route. I have to say that i love chester's scene much more than harold's scene, the intimacy between MC and chester was just too cute. Also, the lack of hentai doujin ahegos were a plus too(Seriously that killed the mood for harold's scene for me). I would like to see more erect sprites with the other characters. I love the throbbing detail on chester's sprite. Do you intend to put in some animation into EA? Or will that be too complicated to do? When will we have an update on richard's route too? Also it would be great if you added some sfw intimacy between MC and his lover to mix things up.

I wish it was that easy! There's a reason I haven't done this already, and that's partially because of that super huge sun outside (which won't go well during the night time), and the BG might actually change again, based on my current BG guy. If we stick the lineless design, it would just mean I need to go back and readjust everything again. It'll happen though!

i fully agree with dianna and vernon, i didn't like the way their characters were done either tbh, literally just show up randomly to start shit, they don't feel organic as character at all plus like you said they still don't have faces either which saddens me but issac in darius' route given you choose previous day to go to their dressing room you get a better understanding of who issac is and why he hates darius so much, we don't really get that with vernon of why he's an asshole and for dianna you just assume she's lonely and regrets ending it with harold wanting to get back with him desperately eh

Correction: 10 minute search-and-replace job in Notepad++, not MSPaint. Open all .rpy files (drag all of them into Notepad++), open search-replace (Ctrl + H), find: ' MCRoom ', replace with: ' MCRoom2 ', and click "Replace All in All Opened Documents". 50 Occurences get replaced.

Points where you can improve: * Use of the medium. A visual novel is more than just text and images - music and sound effects are almost entirely absent from most of the game, other than text message beeps and the occasional track. Voice acting would be a bad idea, but I think using wind, birdsong, door sounds, creaky floorboards, running water and such would really help drawing the reader in more. You do some of it in the Chester shower scene to set the mood and that's well done! * Several backgrounds are still absent - either The White Void or sketches. I'm not sure how much of your budget you can spare (you have to live off it after all) but that should be a priority. I really liked it when the MCs room was finally in color! * Speaking of that: there are assets that exist but are not coded in for earlier days. E.g. the MCs room is a sketch until one day in Chester's route, then is suddenly colored. That's a 10 minute search-and-replace job in MSPaint to update the .rpy files. * Dian(n)a and Vernon, who are pivotal to Harold / Chester groups are still literally faceless bullies who appear to cause drama and don't exist otherwise. They're currently more like plot devices, not (awful) real people. Neutrals * There still is a very episodic feel to the story. Darius crashes - oh, he's well again, and the perpetrator -and- his accomplice have been caught and won't cause any more trouble. Diana tries to manipulate Harold's feelings, goes so far as to feign an injury (and no one except Spencer stands up for the MC? He doesn't know anyone else in his college?) but whoops she's found out immediately and will leave forever now. It helps keep the tone light, but it prevents the characters from growing because the hardship is over before it's even registered? I think doing a more long-term plan * The story is entirely linear. You select your boyfriend on day 2, and the rest of the team mostly drops off the radar then. It'd be cool to see how the others develop - for example, you tease a Chester/Dozer relationship in Coach's route, no? (Does that mean Darius/Spencer is the other pairing?) How do they get there? Do we see them hanging out somewhere? What goes on in their lives? You could either include more scenes away from the boyfriend and develop the MC and the other characters more, or - and this is the challenging option - rewrite the game to branch. A bit more of a life simulator, you could let the MC choose whom to hang out with, slowly build relationship value(s) and go to dates if they're high enough. Similar to what you do currently, but for multiple people at once? And if you don't raise someone's value you might see them going out with someone else. (It also means the MC isn't totally absorbed into the relationship, which is a touch unhealthy. They can theoretically fail, after all.) * You reserve CGs (full-screen images) for sex scenes. Could we get some art of the MC and their BF(s) just - cuddling, feeding each other delicious food, hugging, non-sexual clothes on intimacy like that? I'd adore a fullscreen of Spencer blushing as he's called a good boy, or Coach relaxing under a massage. The romance is half the appeal, so it should get some illustration! Positive: * Regular update schedule means I can get excited for the next release. Frequent enough I can get my new episode of my hunky tennis telenovel- I mean visual novel, but with enough space you can really write something substantial * Chester's experiences were handled mostly tastefully. He's pretty much been raped in the past (tied to a chair and groped against his will), so him being well enough to be intimate again is a tricky journey. Major props that he walks off if the player is a jerk and puts on too much pressure - don't force people to do things, everyone! * Characters are pretty realistic and are all people I'd actually want to hang out with, whether I was bumming them or not. So many VNs are filled with stereotypes, it's nice to see one full of real people and real romance (and an MC that isn't kinda rapey).

General feedback. The descriptions of character s just in day 1, Chester is a little on the light side I believe his weight on the description needs to be raised by 15-25 pounds based on his size and height. I'm 6'3 and I weigh 227 but. I nowhere as big as Chester, I also just waiting for the descriptions of Dozer and Darius.

Wall scrolls certainly sound lovely, and personally I wouldn't mind whether they're sfw, or mature. Seeing more of the cast is always enjoyable regardless. Also, I played through the recent update for Coach, and I like how it was handled. And must I say, that woman is a bitch and needs to stay away from the bear. Back off, he's mine. e-e
