A Guided Question...
Added 2020-02-06 18:40:31 +0000 UTCI asked before, but I don't think I made a poll... this time, we get a poll!
With Harold's route coming to an end later this year, I was contemplating the guides again. The only reason I made the guides initially was to help people, because I was terrible and didn't know what I was doing, to get through the routes as quickly as possible for each new update.
I stopped updating them when I learned the errors of my ways. Of course, that led to people wanting updated ones and whatnot. Gotta see the best there is to offer, right?
So, since the guides take extra time for me to do, I figured I should just do another tier for the guides. Nothing huge, but a bump to a $5 tier if you want the guides too (of course, everyone pledged above that gets it already).
Not only would I do guides for "Extracurricular Activities", but I'd do guides for each of the projects I've already done too. Of course, it'll take a little extra time to set them all up, but I wanted to ask before I got too deep into this (as I've already started laying out Harold's again!).
So, the question is...
Would you upgrade from $3 to $5 for that?
I know not everyone wants them or cares, cause they like to figure it out on their own! I just wanted to make the offer and see what you think.
Thanks everyone!

I won't personally upgrade, but I can see how that'd be a good deal for those who wants the guides updated.
2020-02-13 17:43:58 +0000 UTCHaha, that is the woooorst.. The neutral ending will be closer to the best ending than the bad ending is to the neutral ending, so....

2020-02-12 04:17:58 +0000 UTCIf I were a player who used guides, I would pay the extra $2 for them, yes. However, I personally do not use guides as I like to learn on my own, and replay is part of the fun, for me, so I would not upgrade, myself.

2020-02-12 03:29:10 +0000 UTCI would absolutely love a guide. I'd hate to go all the way through a route and find I got the neutral ending or something :P I aim to get the best possible ending for each route. They're all so amazing!

2020-02-08 04:59:14 +0000 UTCWhile I do think it would be a very good idea to update the guides, I personally wouldn't jump up a tier for it. If I had it available, I would 100% use them though.

2020-02-08 04:11:58 +0000 UTCGreat to hear! That type of playing is a good way to handle visual novels, I think.

2020-02-08 02:43:19 +0000 UTCThank you for all that feedback! I put a lot of through into how I wanted to handled the endings. There will be a bad route, but... it's something that the playre really has to actively try to get. There will be a good and neutral ending along with it, and those two are more along the line of how I've set the game up to be. I agree with wanting it to be more of a feel-good experience.

2020-02-08 02:40:27 +0000 UTCI said it before, but I prefer to play at least twice: once my way, once the “official” way, and maybe even one more the “wrong” way. i need to see everything! That said, I’ll gladly add a couple dollars to my pledge to get guides

2020-02-07 02:36:31 +0000 UTCI always love a good guide, I'm naturally a completionist but time is limited. Once I've fully stumbled blind through a game I do love going through it again guide in hand to see it all with ease :)

2020-02-06 23:29:44 +0000 UTCI would not update since its not my style. I prefer to play blind seeing the different options. However for me EA is a more feel good experience. I always go for the most positive result in the story since negative options to be are always a little awkward story wise. I play to see good things happen the design isnt really for a negative experience if that makes since. I might be missing something but i don't know if you have plans for ending a route in a more "bad" end or if there would be more varied endings. The different routes from what I have seen which might be limited is not extremely complex in its divergence. If there was more divergence i would definitely upgrade at 5 or more. I dont want to sound negative since i do love your project and story telling. It is just that.

2020-02-06 22:45:59 +0000 UTCGuides would save a lot of time. I used to look at darius's guide often until i realised how he works and got the result i am satisfied with
2020-02-06 20:53:04 +0000 UTCI wouldn't be doing that. It's just another perk for folks that might want to show some extra support and get something out of it in the process.

2020-02-06 20:04:12 +0000 UTCSome of those choices can be tricky, so trial and error is definitely one way to handle it. Understandable too! Your support is certainly appreciated no matter what~

2020-02-06 20:00:00 +0000 UTCguides for all the content youve made for sure EA is fairly straightforward with a couple side things that takes quicker side playthroughs but for new players an EA guide would be helpful

2020-02-06 19:59:48 +0000 UTCThat's a good way to look at it too! If you bumble through it once, but there's nothing wrong with checking a guide to see what you might have missed!

2020-02-06 19:59:34 +0000 UTCI feel you on that one! It's how I like to play myself.

2020-02-06 19:58:33 +0000 UTCI struggle with what to choose sometimes, even on the most recent updates, saving and trying both usually. It's not that I wouldn't like to upgrade, it's just that I cannot afford to

2020-02-06 19:57:11 +0000 UTCguys are a nice thing to have but just if the game has a lot of hidden things or mechanics, extracurricular activities are just a matter of trying every option (that's not a bad thing btw) so i won't really care much for the guides myself since it would kinda take away the point of playing the game in these case because you will just end up finishing the playthrough in no time.

2020-02-06 19:31:20 +0000 UTCNot sure. But I would at least update to day 15 for everyone. By that time you should know what the character is like and needs to hear?

2020-02-06 19:03:39 +0000 UTCThe first few times playing through routes I like to stumble my way through it on my own, but after that I want to see and experience everything and guides are so helpful with that especially when I'm low on free time. 10/10 would upgrade.
Alexander Lukas Bryant
2020-02-06 18:56:45 +0000 UTCI personally wouldn't update, because i actually prefer to play the game for myself, to experience the story slowly. I had fun learning the routes that way XD.
