We're back! (for now?)
Added 2021-02-18 18:08:50 +0000 UTCPhew, those last few days were long! First the car died (the cold claimed its battery), then the power died, then we lost water, then the car lived (thanks Geico!), then the water lived, and finally, 73 hours later, we have power again! Hard to say how long it will last though. I've heard Texas is doing rolling blackouts, so that means we might lose power again, and for how long, we don't know. Hopefully it doesn't come to that, but who knows right now!
What I do know is that I have to decide what I need to do for EA right now. On a normal , 30-31 day month, I spend about 14 days or so on each update. I update, take a day off work 12, test, update, repeat.
February is a short month already, so I planned on skipping my usual day off to work and give myself enough time for the next Darius update. Well, without power, without power for a few days, I could do quite literally nothing beyond clean around the house, build a lego set and read while trying not to freeze.
That said, I'm only left about 8 days to work on Darius, with my one for testing and me using today to get my home back in order. I do not like rushing things, so... I'm not going to do Darius right now (cause I would end up delaying into Spencer's month, and I need all that month for art and just making that ending the best I can).
Instead of doing that, I had another idea and figured I'd give you guys the choice on what you'd rather me do.
Option 1:
I'll just rearrange my schedule a bit. Housekeeping next, Darius after Spencer's finale (as opposed to Darius now and Housekeeping after Spencer). The biggest reason I had housekeeping after Spencer was that I wanted to use that time for a breather from ending Spencer and Chester's routes and to start dipping my toes into the Richard update coming soon. I just lose a little time to this.
Option 2:
I just skip this update completely and continue on with my normal schedule.
Both options have their perks! Option 2 might override regardless if I get sick (I'm feeling a bit under the weather, but that might pass with a normal meal and having heat again).
I couldn't decide what I should do, so I'm letting you folks choose for me. After all, I only get to do what I'm doing because of you all, so it's only fair I keep you all in the loop. Only running this poll for 24 hours while I use today to get things situated again.
Thanks for all the well-wishes too! Me and Wolfstar and Daisy are all well. Now to go dig all my food out of the snow (with no power, I had to keep it cold somehow!).
Comments
As much as I would have enjoyed a Darius update to cheer me up after the chaos we've gone through here in Texas, I totally understand that there will be a lot of things to fix and restore to normal and it's simply not the time to put work first or even second haha. I for one have a burst pipe and the flooding was devastating. Under control now and all the steps forward are being put into motion. Take all the time you need Dyne!!

2021-02-19 20:11:52 +0000 UTCDamn, that must be scary. Wish I could've helped somehow or at least offer a warm hug or something. Glad to see things are getting better though at least. Thank you for always keeping us all updated.

2021-02-19 19:11:51 +0000 UTCThank you! I'm feeling much better today after a hot shower and getting the house mostly back in order. Next step is to hit up the store in a few days and get things really back to normal~ I hope all is well where you are too!

2021-02-19 19:10:17 +0000 UTCUuuggh, I hope you guys have water again (or soon at least!). We lost water for a day, so I can only imagine losing it for a few.

2021-02-19 19:10:12 +0000 UTCThat Chester update did take a lot out of me. All the feelings!
DyneWulf
2021-02-19 19:09:17 +0000 UTCThe house sure needs some more love, haha. Storing all the food in the snow and having to dry it all off before going back in the fridge took a lot of time.

2021-02-19 19:08:47 +0000 UTCWill do, thanks!

2021-02-19 19:07:55 +0000 UTCI will definitely take care~

2021-02-19 19:06:20 +0000 UTCIt really means so much to me that so many folks have that mindset <3

2021-02-19 19:06:09 +0000 UTCCan do!
DyneWulf
2021-02-19 19:05:42 +0000 UTCWell thank you! We are doing what we can to stay warm ;3 The sun is out in full force today too, so that's helping!

2021-02-19 19:05:37 +0000 UTCWe all are, so thank you!
DyneWulf
2021-02-19 19:05:10 +0000 UTCWe certainly are hanging in just fine now =3
DyneWulf
2021-02-19 19:05:02 +0000 UTCAhh, well thank you!
DyneWulf
2021-02-19 19:04:50 +0000 UTCIt really goes to show you how often this kind of weather is expected when something some folks consider to be pretty normal trashes an entire state.
DyneWulf
2021-02-19 19:04:43 +0000 UTCHahaha, think of it like this too... Darius will last a little longer~
DyneWulf
2021-02-19 19:03:23 +0000 UTCWell thank you for that! I'll certainly take care =3
DyneWulf
2021-02-19 19:03:03 +0000 UTCJudging by the votes here... Getting some rest is the way to go! But, I'll end up doing some housekeeping anyway I think (sometimes I just have that drive to do stuff!), but it won't be posted due to the contents of it.
DyneWulf
2021-02-19 19:02:33 +0000 UTCi prefer that you take care of yourself. we like the game but we dont want something bad happened to you.

2021-02-19 08:27:27 +0000 UTCOption 2 for sure. Best to take care of yourself.
sonicassassin
2021-02-19 07:20:02 +0000 UTCPicked option 2 cause not much will happen if you get sick plus your area still in state of chaos. Better to weather the storm and get your bearing first, then to push things too hard and find yourself in a worse spot.
Mestev
2021-02-19 05:16:10 +0000 UTCTake care of your self dyne. I can relate I live in Texas too it’s been a hell of a week so we totally understand !!! Hope you get better !!!

2021-02-19 03:47:15 +0000 UTCI'm all for option 2! Self care is essential!

2021-02-19 02:04:50 +0000 UTCHahahahha look at all these people who care about your health and wellbeing! I SAY NAY AND CRACK THE WHIP MORE. MOAR EA NAO. Take a breather with option 2 really :) despite the hungry bird chirping of your fans, you gotta take care of yourself first!

2021-02-19 01:25:32 +0000 UTCWhatever you guys think is best, We trust you. and health and sanity come first.
Peterwolf
2021-02-19 00:48:32 +0000 UTCI see your power was out a long time to. I live in katy, texas an our power was out Monday night ( so worst time to go out was like 20 out side) then came back on Thursday night. An we still have no water to use. This storm was the worst. Even hurricanes where not this bad.
Bigerbear
2021-02-19 00:47:45 +0000 UTCHonestly I'd say the first cuz 😍Spencer😍 but hearing you explain definitely changes that. I know ending Chester probably took a lot outta ya and that alone needs time. The rest just doubles that need so go for 2 my love for Spencer will not waver

2021-02-18 22:46:24 +0000 UTCFocus on staying better! Recover and relax and as they say: “to await a pleasure, is itself a pleasure”
2021-02-18 22:42:42 +0000 UTCI say get your home and yourself taken care of first before you try to worry about anything else. You've put in so much time already to make this amazing work, and I'm sure everyone can handle being a little patient. Especially given the circumstances.
2021-02-18 20:52:35 +0000 UTCCrazy times call for measures that WON'T drive you insane. Just skip the update and take a small break! Please continue to do your best mr Dyne

2021-02-18 20:49:39 +0000 UTCWelcome back man. Glad to see you safe and sound
2021-02-18 20:44:07 +0000 UTCWith how crazy things are over there you need to take care of yourself first. I'm sure the next update will be made even better by you getting a breather.
2021-02-18 19:43:28 +0000 UTCWe've had your back for some time now, I'm pretty sure we'll be fine with you skipping this month and resuming next month especially with how crazy the weather has been in the Great American Blizzard of 2021, seriously this is a concerning start for the year after the insanity that was 2020.
ArcTheWolf
2021-02-18 19:39:57 +0000 UTCoption 2, i need you to take care of yourself first
Koit Nurme
2021-02-18 19:33:56 +0000 UTCTaking it easy won't hurt anyone, once in a while. Especially if you need time to rest, after the small adventure you guys had over there. Personally i do suggest to take it easy for a bit. Regardless what you choose, i wish you both you and Wolfstar be well, and stay warm guys ^^!!
Xeralex
2021-02-18 19:26:43 +0000 UTCWhat ever you end up doing, I hope you, Hyper and Daisy all stay safe!
2021-02-18 19:24:41 +0000 UTCGlad you're doing alright for now. Hang in there!
Valeir
2021-02-18 19:06:56 +0000 UTCI chose Option 2. I would hate for you to rush an update, good things take time. The story is just too good, and I think you deserve a bit more breathing room.
Nocturnal X
2021-02-18 18:34:56 +0000 UTCThe crazy part is that amount of snow is normal where I live in New England. Yet another part of the country is no where near ready for this type of storm.
2021-02-18 18:33:59 +0000 UTCTimes sound pretty hard rn. Take a breather and let yourself off the hook for the world falling apart!
2021-02-18 18:26:35 +0000 UTCOption 2 all the way for me. Quality over quantity/burn out is always better in the long run.
Carey Brown
2021-02-18 18:24:02 +0000 UTCI say skip. Take a breather. Make sure you’re 100%. Put the craziness in the past. I think it will be better for you and EA.
Nickthulhu
2021-02-18 18:23:20 +0000 UTCI say skip and get straight to take care about Spencer he deserves to be treated well and you need to charge your batteries. This mean we'll see Darius right in summer then? I can wait for my lion ~ but then I suggest a new swimsuit as a treat for him
Tore91
2021-02-18 18:22:41 +0000 UTCI chose option 1 but only if you feel like you can manage it. I mean, waiting one more month for Richard or Spencer's finale will not really have an impact since EA is not all I do, so if you need to take a breather, please do so. Take care 💖
2021-02-18 18:14:32 +0000 UTCI’m open to an all-out skip if you’re feeling too trashed from your recent troubles, but if it’s at all possible to even get some housekeeping done that would be awesome. Either way, don’t stress yourself.

2021-02-18 18:12:23 +0000 UTCI'm happy everything is alright for now! Let's hope it doesn't get any worse. Stay safe!
