Have you tried Google Drive? I don't know the rules on how it works and what not but that could be an option.

itch.io is great, you can link it with patreon I wouldn't recommend mediafire, 4shared or zippyshare as they have pop up ads, ads that look like notifications, ads with fake download buttons, ads for betting websites, etc.. other alternatives include nopy, anonfiles, mega.nz (has 5gb daily download limit for each individual downloader) With mega.nz you have a decryption key that you could message to patrons. If you can't use itch or mega, you could password protect a zip file with a program like 7-zip.

i use 4shared and mega.nz but i dont have the same traffic as you do and hahahahaahah you already know people are sharing your link with the password, and not your game only, all games.

The Media Fire link definitely worked for me, and the download only took like a minute. Guess the speed might depend on how many people are potentially trying to download it at the same time.

The only one I know so far a little bit with flexibility is media fire. As long as you keep the files in there once and don't change anything the link remains. But I think you need to get subscribed to activate codes and ect.

Hey Dyne, Not dont fret too much sooner or later we will get it, obviously your VN is so popular now its causing headaches. but we will soon have it. The Mediafire file is working for me but its a 46 minute download its a very slow server. Mega is also a slow server but I dont know if there are limits. Itch.io is also good but I dont know how it will handle all your traffic.

Could you use https://mega.nz/? I've seen it used to host many game mods for hundreds of thousands of downloads and still work fine. You can separate the decryption key and link so you'll need both to download.

I'd say nopy but according to the discord they just stopped accepting new uploaders as they are currently expanding. Itch,io has patreon linking i've used on other things i've supported. Mediafire says it has no limits on ad supported downloads and mega.nz seems to only have limits on the downloader's side instead of the uploader's side.

Sounds like Itch.io is the best option to me.

I’ve seen other patreons use mediafire to upload and share I don’t think you can password a file with mediafire tho.

Why don't you just use your own hosting and be done with it? My boyfriend uses one.com (he'd appreciate if you used his referral link, which is http://one.me/esarfvot ) and he's never had any trouble with it, regardless of traffic. Maybe just set up an invitation-only WordPress (which takes less than an hour to do) and upload the different versions to the hosting. He also says that the cheapest offers you 50GB all the way up to 750GB, which should be more than enough for a long time. Alternatively, you can set up your own file server by using your very hardware (Pi maybe?), but that would rely on your network, and we don't think your network can withstand the amount of happy, thirsty fans you have. Hope you find a solution.

I know some people use mega.nz or mediafire for hosting things like this. You could try Google Drive, but I'm not sure of what limits there might be. Also, I believe you can put a password on a .zip file if a file-sharing website you use doesn't have a password protect option. I know 7Zip has a way of doing it.

I unfortunately dont know of any others, but if re-uploading on onedrive isnt an option (meaninglike, take it down and reupload it, since some of us obviously DID already get it) then maybe upload to dropbox again? In the future, perhaps put the uploads in both places? To offset the traffic?
